    I am curious as to whether or not you think that post-Obama election, around this time next year, without anything as epic as the Bush administration to buck against, the Netroots will be as unified or if the Republicans/right are staring down the barrel of a populist revolution of their own?
  • Interesting question. That depends on who you include and how you define netroots. Some people are using their blogs to curry favor/power/influence within the Democratic party and media and will co-opt and capitulate themselves as soon as it becomes convenient to do so. Still others are just finding their political voices and are entering the blogosphere for the first time. Many others think of themselves as free thinkers but they are very easily distracted and manipulated. People will come together for a common cause, or not, or allow themselves to be splintered off much like every other movement.
