    PLEASE SIGN PETITION ask-marian-wright-edleman-to-support-barack-obama

    LINK BELOW:

    http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/ask-marian-wright-edleman-to-support-barack-obama

    Petition short version:

We the under signed ask Marian Wright Edleman to show

her support for Barack Obama for president 2008. We

also would appreciate Marian explaining why her

husband resigned from Bill clintons cabinet and why on

July 24th when Marian Spoke to Amy Goodman at

    democracynow.org
she didn't eleborate further in her

views of Hillary Clinton who proclaims to be the

    candidate for childrens right.

The following are a few articles explaining in some

detail as to the clintons dealings with regards to

Marian Wright Edleman. (note: these articles can be

found at the petition site by clicking petition

    overview under Marians picture)

    PLEASE FORWARD WIDELY ASAP

    Danielle Clarke

""Hillary Co-Ops Marians organization as if Marian is

    endorsing her""

NOTE: The link to Hillary's site is below.

    http://hillaryclinton.com/issues/family/

Go to hillaryclinton.com. Click 'HILLARY" tab at top

of page and select "Hillary's Story". Then on the

right of the page under "HILLARY ON THE ISSUES" click

"Supporting Parents and Caring for Children". In the

second paragraph read..."From her first job out of law

school at the Children's Defense Fund..."

Hillary is effectively associating herself with the

CDF without seeking actually saying she is and without

saying why Marian the individual citizen, her mentor

at CDF is not supporting her for the nomination. This

mention of the CDF by Hillary in this fashion does not

give the correct impression. Namely, that neither

Marian nor her husband, who resigned the Clinton

Administration in PROTEST, are at odds with the

Clinton's in a most serious way. What is the nature

of that disagreement when the Clinton's are giving the

impression that all is well with her relationship with

the CDF. This is SO a typically Clinton (not quite

honest) maneuver. Marian has a Christian and

Citizenship duty to correct that false impression. To

share the truth with the Democrats and the American

people BEFORE they nominate another Clinton to the

important job of President of the United States at

this critical point in our Nation's history.

Bob Johnson is a disgrace. Pure and simple.

He has the nerve to expressly bring up Obama's admitted past drug use by saying "I won't say what he was doing, but he said it in the book" and then insult everyone's intelligence by saying that he was referring to Obama's community organizing work?!?!!?

If that was the case why not just say "community organizing? There is no need to be coy about that. And the suggestion that "Hillary and Bill Clinton were deeply and emotionally involved in black issues" while Barack Obama was basically lounging around the 'hood doing drugs is beyond insulting.

But then again, Bob Johnson is used to insulting black people.

I got to admit, ol' Bob Johnson must have a huge set of brass ones to not only bring up a dead drug issue . . . but then turn around and play folks for idiots when got caught up.

I know Barack is much too good of a man for this but I just wish that he would call up Bob Johnson and Andrew Young and all the other house negroes and give them a simple message . . .

"You just ended up on the wrong side of history, so pray to God that I don't win this thing."

Not since the Sistah Souljah moment have the Clintons showed such contempt for black voters. From the Mandela comment to the trashing of MLK (by the way, wasn't Queen Hilary a Goldwater gal?) and now bringing out the original hopin' Bob of all hopin' Bobs, the creator a BET himself.

I'm glad you reminded the people about Bob Johnson being a Bush cheerleader on pvt. Social Security. Instead of going on the attack himself why hasn't the Obama campaign employed a surrogate to say what he obviously cannot. I understand, Barack cannot go BIGGER & BLACKER while Hilary plays up gender.

He can however begin to highlight other repugnant right-wing policies she's supported besides the war vote.

    Good post. Keep it up.

Negroes please! Here we go AGAIN...blaming the MAN for our own shortcomings. Bob Johnson did not put a gun to anyone's head and force them to allow a rapper to swipe a credit card down their crack for money, but the young ladies that ALLOW themselves to be demeaned that way did. Can we not accept responsibility for anything like free thinking individuals without whining, crying, and playing the BLAME GAME when the consequences of our actions come back to slap us in our faces?

What Bob Johnson was saying is that Mr. Obama was somewhere smoking dope, according to Mr. Obamba's own words, while the Clintons were championing causes that benefited the best interest of Black people. How dare he? I would not have backed down from because the truth, is the truth. There are some people playing crazy, and if you are not careful, you are going to get played.

This is what's wrong with black people. We can't stick together. Bob Johnson, Maya Angelou, Magic Johnson, and others like them should be ashamed. Here is our shining black prince and you rebuke him. We can give the world our best and you support the Clinton's who use racial innuendo to insinuate that Sen. Obama was a drug dealer. They didn't ask Bill if he was a drug dealer did they? So, why is it ok to bring that up with Barack? The Clinton's are political slime, effective though they may be. The truth is that Bill Clinton was lucky enough to be president during the .com boom and lucky enough to be gone when it busted. That's the truth about Bill Clinton. He's nothing special.

The Clintons have been playing black folk for years. It's surprising how many still come to their defense. Nothing better came about it our communities because of them -- at least not from my vantage point. Churches and community centers across the country may have been well-funded during the Clinton years, but beyond that what else have they done besides cry in a few black churches and call upon us when everyone else starts trashing them.

Now to see that she has Bob Johnson talking her up and trashing Obama is sad. She needs to give it up. I don't like being played.

No, that's not what he was saying, that's what he implied. If that's what he wanted to say, he should have had the courage to say it outright. What he did do is actually sleazier that saying it outright.

Bob Johnson is the last person to talk about anyone being dishonest. The Obama campaign is not the reason why some African Americans were offended by what Hillary Clinton said; they heard the speech and drew their own conclusions.

They didn't need Obama's campaign to express their objections. There are many black people from Democratic Congressman to avergae citizens expressing outrage over what Hillary said.

The comment Johnson made about Obama's drug use was low. Why didn't he bring up Bill Clinton being dishonest about having sexual relations with an intern? Or better yet, why didn't he mention how he fooled black people into thinking that BET would be cable network that black people could be proud of? This is a clear example of how some in the black community like to bring others down; the crab in the barrel mentality. I am frankly insulted that Bob Johnson was dishonest when he created Black Entertainment Television, or as I call it; Bootleg Entertainment Television.

Johnson claimed that BET would be a one stop shop for news, entertainment and politics. The network would address issues of the black community. Well we all found out that was a lie. BET became the safe haven for exploiting common negative stereotypes of black people. He made billions off of exploiting black people.

Clinton stuck her foot in her mouth, and no matter what she meant to say, she said it and people commented on it. Instead of taking responsibility for what she said or meant to say, she is too busy trying to blame the Obama campaign for adding fuel to the fire.

The bottom line is this: Support a candidate because you believe in their plans for the country; not because you are in some type of pay back mode. You see some black people, especially some in the older generation, feel that since the Clintons supported some issues that affected the black community that we owe them our lives. That we owe them favors for as long as we live; and I say that is complete BS. We paid the Clintons for what they did, by voting for Bill Clinton during his run for second term in office; we don't owe them a thing now. I applaud the Clintons for their service to this country, but that doesn't mean that black people have to sign over their first born just because the Clintons supported causes that affected African Americans.

Oooh this made my blood boil when I read this. Of all people, Bob Johnson is offended by another black person?! This peddler of black degradation is probably the most offensive black man in America - where the hell does he get off?

But in a way it fits together you know. Bob Johnson clearly has deep-seated antagonism towards black advancement and upliftment. Case in point: BET. Hence when someone like Obama who embodies black advancement and upliftment and all that has been fought for (that people may be judged by the content of their character, not the colour of their skin) comes along, it rankles him.

Disgusting. I actually think this will do the Clintonistas more harm than good - on their side is Bob Johnson, on Obama's side is Oprah. Hmm... which media tycoon is more respected by the black community?

Johnson straight up admitted his TRUE agenda behind creating BET in Savoy magazine several years ago. I wrote about it here:

This coon has been hoodwinking and helping to destroy us since the very beginning. It's time for a Revolution and a Reevalution!

To see some of the extensive evidence that Bush and Rove stole the 2004 election take a look at the ELECTION JUSTICE CENTER at the Solar Bus site. They have articles analysis and orignal reporting. Or read NONE DARE CALL IT STOLEN at the Harpers Magazine web site. It's a slam dunk Bushie!

Hip hip, hooray! Glad to see

Besides those who worship the altar of the free-market (or have an aspiring coon career), who else listens to Bob Johnson? Second only to D.W. Griffith, no one has pushed more coonerific imagery on our people than this no good bastard. He has told so many lies he's got a dollar for each one.

It's time for a black presedent. I hope Obama will make it all the way.

    To Mia:

    Your statement:

"Negroes please! Here we go AGAIN...blaming the MAN for our own shortcomings. Bob Johnson did not put a gun to anyone's head and force them to allow a rapper to swipe a credit card down their crack for money, but the young ladies that ALLOW themselves to be demeaned that way did" is correct.

These young ladies should have more respect for themselves then doing what they did.

    HOWEVER,

Bob Johnson ALLOWED it to be aired. If he had not allowed that to be put on BET would you have ever seen that young woman allowing someone to swipe a credit card on her behind?

Mr. Johnson has not taken responsibility for demeaning and disgracing the Black community. When he had the choice to air substantial and uplifting programs devoted to black families and news worth hearing, he removed all of them and replaced them with the booty-shakers and credit card swipers.

    NO, WHOSE BEING RESPONSIBLE?

Actions speak louder than words every time, and by his actions Mr. Johnson has repeatedly shown his contempt for the African American community in every way possible.

As some in the Black community would say, he should go somewhere and sit down.
