I'm holding out for Lake county, I'm hoping he wins, even by a hair!
Do you guys believe in omens? That unfortunate filly Eight Belles broke BOTH her legs.
Now Russert is saying maybe Obama could pay Hillary's debt.
Yeah, I went there..LOL
I got what I want...she had to make a speech and nobody knew the result...LOL
On another note, why can't Hilary ever congratulate Obama for his victories? It would make me like her a little if she acted just a wee bit humble.
You know...I really think Clinton's supporters are going to hate black people from now on.
I hate that they are intimating there is something potentially suspicious going on in Lake County. I hope it's all on the up and up. I am from Chicago, so I know all about "machine" and "Chicago style politics".
Uh oh, wait Lenny is on again. Thank God for David Gergen.
"Let me tell you, when all the votes are counted, when Gary comes in, I think you're looking at something for the world to see," Clay, an Obama supporter, said in a telephone interview from Obama's Gary headquarters. "I don't know what the numbers are yet, but Gary has absolutely produced in large numbers for Obama here."
Chuck Todd said "oh God' and Chris Matthew's couldn't contain his excitement. It's gonna be close but it is going to look suspect.
I think that's such a bad move for them to delay the counts. Now, there'll be a cloud of suspicion over it no matter which way it swings.
Regardless of what happens in IN, Obama just wrapped up the Democratic nomination tonight!
Such a beautiful thang!!!
Clinton cancelled all her talk show interviews for tomorrow.
Damn! Damn! Damn!
mikefromtexas
Currently the Gary mayor is on CNN and they are suggesting conspiracy. But while they all talk the camera is on John playing with his map and looking at it with love.
I thought it strange that polls close at 6pm.
Chuck Todd on MSNBC is like..."I just want you to know that we are waiting for one delegate...one delegate. But I'm with you until the end."
K.Olberman..."so what are you are saying..you want to go home?"
Did you notice that Pat Buchanan couldn't say s.h.i.t. tonight?
North Carolina shut him the f%%% up!
ahahahahahahahahahaha
Damn.
I missed Lanny Davis, but I did see Donna Brazille get into it with Paul Begala.
I swear. This night has been a rollercoaster.
I was feeling down when I saw those early returns from Indiana around 7:00. But I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief when the networks called NC at 7:30 on the dot!
It just got better and better from there on out.
Go OBAMA!!!!
YES WE CAN!
Girl I watching...thinking
He better not say anything stupid
Wasn't Eight Belles that that poor Kentucky Derby horse that came in second to Big Brown? She couldn't get up so they shot her on the track.
I hear ya. Isn't it funny. . . I didn't see that much of Joe Scarborough tonight.
Dayum! This feels so good!
Oh I can't wait until morning to see "Morning Joe"! F%%% him too!
51% to 49% in Indiana right now with Gary still yet to report.
*singing CAN YOU FEEL IT by Gary, IN natives The Jacksons to myself* LOL!!!!
yep, Hillary suggested that the underdog filly (the only female in the race) was somehow comparable to herself. She asked people in her rally to put money on the horse for her. Chelsea showed up at the Derby and I think McAuliffe too. The horse came in second after snapping both legs. The vets had to euthanize her. It is tragic for sure. But, when I read the story, it gave me a chill. It had the quality of a prophetic dream or warning.
I refuse to watch the Clinton News Network unless someone directs me there for good reason.
Drudge Report called the entire race for Obama.
This shit is over.
Bill Clinton was drunk as a skunk and red faced to boot.
He'll be looking for some release from a pretty young thing this weekend.
as easy as
1 2 3
get out the race
Hil-la-ry
A B C
1 2 3
That's how easy you got beat!
-not by the Jacksons but I think they would endorse it.
Straight-up! That sh%t is scary! But you know, it's like this...
When God is in it for you---Who can take it away!
I hadn't done the Jackson/Gary connection, but you are right...I just think it's the best song for a night like tonight...
I can't help it, but I love that darn map on CNN...it cracks me up to no end. So, gimme the map, even John King, who so loves to play with it, Roland Martin, and like I said..I'd deprogram CNN from the tivo.
@ Rikyrah - I am just SCREAMING in my apt! I just feel that the end is TONIGHT! Keith O. read Hillary's email from tonight on the air and noted that it was "austere" and she didn't ask for any money. Say Goodnight Hillary! This is the email that she sent out tonight (yeah, I'm on still on the list hahaha)
Dear Friend,
Tonight's victory in Indiana was close, and a margin that narrow means just one thing: every single thing you did to help us win in Indiana helped make the difference.
Every call you made, every friend you spoke to about our campaign, every dollar you contributed made tonight's victory possible. And I couldn't be more thankful for your hard work.
Every time we've celebrated a victory, we've celebrated it together. And tonight is no exception. This victory is your victory, this campaign is your campaign, and your support has been the difference between winning and losing.
Thank you so much for making this campaign possible. Let's keep making history together.
Sincerely,
Hillary
"He'll be looking for some release from a pretty young thing this weekend"
You are so wrong for that!!!!
The superdelegates better end this mess for real this week.
Screw West VA and KY.
Appalachia will not chose the next POTUS.
Turning the page on alla that.
You know it!
From now on, I'm calling Barack Obama "Brother President-to-be" and when he's elected it's "Brother President" all the way!
BTW, they're talking Obama running mates on MSNBC. It is SO over! We just have to make it official.
I was seething. they need to fix that shit, pronto!
I'm going crazy!! what a night!
BTW folks, right this sec on MSNBC, Pat Buchanon of all people is saying that the Clintons have to be seen by the Obama people/supporters as "busting their guts" to get Obama the nomination. If they don't, then the Obama folks "will never forgive them."
Truth coming from Pat Buchanon's mouth? Uh huh....
I'm sick of the f***ing map too!
And yes, Bill Clinton looked drunk and he looked drunk in a photo I saw from the campaign trail in NC.
His face was beet red.
Money Quota from Russert: "We now know who the democratic nominee is."
YEAH, BABY!!!
NO MORE BULLSHIT DELUSIONAL SCENARIOS!!
No you didn't say Osama!
Truth coming from Pat Buchanon's mouth? Uh huh....
It still won't be enough because I'll never believe them.
YEAH, BABY!!!
NO MORE BULLSHIT DELUSIONAL SCENARIOS!!
Exactly! I "twittered" that mess!
http://www.twitter.com/55secretstreet
I swear, I can NOT go to bed until Indiana is called for Obama!
Oh, and P.S. - I liked the fit AND color of Michelle's dress!
I think I'm happier for you than I am for Obama.
UPDATE: As I said.....the Lake vote coming in this late is Obama's revenge for 8 weeks of horrendously pro-Hillary anti-Obama news coverage. With nothing to talk about...Obama just forced the news networks to call something bigger than Indiana...the race for the democratic nomination. Maybe his supporters in Lake did it on purpose...maybe not...I don't really care. The narrative is clear....Hillary is done
16,609 vote difference.
Sometimes even the haters have to admit defeat!
Clinton has cancelled her entire public schedule - but she is meeting with her superdelegates tomorrow. LOVE.IT!
Okay.. gotta go back to writing fluffy beauty posts to get my mind off of this tonight, but I am SO excited for our Brother President-to-be!!!
Where is the Jeremiah Wright effect??? NOWHERE!!! LOL!!!
They're questioning the Gary Mayor in a stern matter about why the count is so late.
They've been talking VP on MSNBC too. Whatever...
I saw go for Gov. Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas! I really like her - Elegant and serious - my kinda woman! She would be an phenomenal VP!
I thought it said Osama but I think I was just too far back from the tele. *lol*
Thanks so much, but it's for all the ' Obama Nation'. For those of us who believed in something positive. To watch him, basically be on his own, as they tried every lie and let those mofos slide on their obvious racebaiting of A Black candidate, angered me to almost utter rage.
We have a long way to go, but, like Prometheus 6 says: she HAD TO BE REBUKED. There was no other way.
It is so gratifying to see all these jerks being forced to strategize for Obama instead of against him. They spun everything against him as hard as they could. They gave her continuous free air time via so-called "interviews" when they found out she was broke. They circled the wagons around her and kicked fair and impartial journalism to the curb. I hope they feel as stupid & embarassed.
You know I know, I was right there wichya!
I have even cried a time or two.
I stopped watching CNN long time ago.
I thought it said Osama but I think I was just too far back from the tele. *lol*
Haha! That's okay N.Mahana - we're all a little excited tonight.
After going through the "wilderness" with PA and Rev. Wright - I have to say that I am just beside myself with joy tonight!
So, in the name of another personal quality--honesty--I'd like Hillary Clinton to make the following statement: "Though my opponent has run a terrific campaign, in primary after primary, I have proven that I am the more electable candidate. I am more electable because I am white. Barack Obama--Wow!--he's certainly inspired a lot of hope, but as voters in Indiana and North Carolina make up their minds, as the superdelegates make up their minds, they should remember that Barack Obama is black. They should also remember that a whole lot of white working-class Americans are racists. White racists are an important part of the Democratic Party, and time and time again, they've supported me because I am white. I am ready on day one to govern as your white American president."
How Does Hillary Clinton Feel About the White Racist Vote?
They're taking a long time to count the ballots? And?
Didn't we wait a month to get the final results from the Texas caucuses?
This is not the first time we've had to wait until the next day to get results.
By all means, investigate if you think there's something wrong. But this never struck me as a real issue.
They're asking why didn't they release the machine numbers right away. It's 1am for pete's sake.
Why torture yourself by watching fox...and why fund their foolishness by bumping their ratings? Hopefully you aren't a Nielsen viewer. I know it's hard not to glance at car wrecks but drive on pass. *lol*
Another black man to distrust.
Clinton - 637,389
Obama - 615, 370
If you throw in MI and FL - Obama would STILL be ahead (DUH!!!)
And let's not even go into the delegates (then again LET'S DO IT! OBAMA ALL THE WAY!)
I hope Hillary drops out by Friday so we can celebrate this weekend. It's time to move to the next stage.
as a reaganite, i know a paradigm shift when i see one.
But this thing is OVER!
I can't see the media caring that much about a 2% win. If they do, then I know something's up.
No more spin.
It's time to move on.
Even with the checkmark they are callling her the "apparent" winner with quotes!
And, looking at Michelle's dress again. Still love it on her...
Duh!
The constant and continuous racism is so very draining. As much as I'm happy for and supportive of Obama, I'm not sure I can hang in with the racist media coverage for 6 more months. Then after he wins the presidency, they will be challenging and disrespecting him in press conferences, etc. I might be forced to tune out.
Lawrence O'Donnell is saying that "the VP will be a Clinton supporter" as a strategic position.
Rachel Maddow, of all people, is the contrarian tonight. She's saying that "the Clinton's think that something can happen to Obama between now and Denver and she wants to be the last candidate standing."
Whatever... If Rev. Wright didn't do it (an Chris Hitchen's hit job on Michelle Obama yesterday) then what? I think if they had something real on Obama, they would NOT wait on Denver to pull it out!
Barack Obama IS the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States of America!
And he WILL be President! Period! End of story!
Now, JJP peeps, who will be Obama's Vice President?
The Wicked Witch is dead!
KNOCKED OUT!
Glad I wasn't the only one who went HUH when I saw the band. I was like, " um, ok."
People, this is a GREAT NIGHT.
A GREAT NIGHT.
In the birthplace of the KKK, a Black man came within 20,000 votes of winning, after being racebaited from one end of the state to the other.
Come on, folks.
In a place where HER demographics were overwhelming - PA - she only won by 9.4%.
In a place where HIS demographics were overwhelming - HE STOMPED HER.
Go to sleep, people. This was a very very good night.
There was comedy, live band, guys without there ties, Buchanan making sense...damn!
Today is a good day
That's what I don't understand. How would or could the mayor of Gary have that much control over the county election officials? Something else I couldn't understand is how the Hammond mayor could accuse him of corruption when the votes that were still out were from outside Gary, or in other words...the Clinton-supporting part of the county, which includes Hammond.
As Gayle King noted on her XM radio show yesterday, when Obama accepts the Democratic nomination for President on August 28, it will be the anniversary of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech!!!
