Cheryl: It's the inertia of "old school personnel" that is causing this "generational divide". Now I've stated the obvious, but I may be giving a "warning" to this present generation to try to avoid the same/similar trend as they move along their life's pathway in the "struggle".

I agree -- transparency is going to force some of these organizations to explain their behavior that actually works against the interests of black people. I think the majority of mid-high income black folk are on the right side of these issues esp on the environment and that CORE doesn't represent their interests nor those of lower incomes and education.

The fact that Niger Innis is a part of this is not a surprise. He's the only Civil Rights Org leader that does anything but lead civil rights initiatives and is no better than house negroes like Shelby Steele, Ward Connerly and Jesse Lee Peterson.

I just put the NY Times article this came from on the Sunday Thread.....that article is hilarious, not sure it was supposed to be...but it sure did crack me up. Its like in order to punish him to stay on message, they take away phone priviledges....LMAO!! I was just on the phone with my nephew who was upset that his mom took away his Gameboy for a week because he misbehaved in church...........who knew 72 yr old presidential candidate John McCain had so much in common with a 7 yr old little black boy in Alabama? LOL!!

Wow. Well should this come as a surprise? These organizations part of the vast Civil Rights Industrial Complex are all but totally useless and mostly self-serving. It's good that there's enough transparency that we can get access to this information. For all the problems being focused and blamed on racism and the behavior of poorer/low information Blacks, shouldn't we start focusing on the mid-to-high income people who supposedly know better but do more harm by their inaction and selfish interests?
