CNN says he will be there but they aren't sure if he will speak. A speech is written but he might not be strong enough to make it.
We'll see.
God Bless him and his family!!! :>) :>) What a trooper! :>) :>)
McCain even mentioned the song "Gasoline"....but his old azz said "Gasolina"....LOLOL.....
vid of Daddy Yankee..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1sV7ZkzQYU
1. People were whispering in his ear regarding staging, like LIEberman whispered in "McAncient's" ear regarding THE CORRECT ANSWERS!! :>) :>
2. "McAncient" was getting a vicarious, erotic rush from watching that semi-elderly "rock star" hugging and kissing those YOUNG, NUBILE, did I say YOUNG, teenage students!! :>) :>) :>)
3. He stated ONE POLICY TOPIC - IMMIGRATION!! But He also stated that he likes all of "McAncient's" policies. Could ONLY articulate ONE!!!! :>) :>)
4. Said that he was a man of few words: YEP!!!! :>) :>)
Way funny!!!! :>) :>)
Thanks, nickwah22!! :>) :>) :>)
Heck!! No one could doubt you!! You might hurt them with your SUPER POWERS!!!! :>) :>) :>)
Whew! Kryptonite Deep Breaths!!! :>) :>)
She said that she might try to find some pollster, call him/her on her CELL PHONE, so she can participate in the POLLS!!!! :>) :>) :>) :>)
Whew! 5 bars up Deep Breaths!!!! :>) :>) :>)
Good ole' reliable C-SPAN . . . No talking heads, just a camera filming the event. You get more music and funny shots of people dancing/having a good time. You also get a lot less Clinton drama and dumb a*s questions from the cable media.
Is it just me!?
The Clintons are getting exactly what they wanted. It feels like the Clinton Convention. Immediately following Pelosi's speech, Ann Curry asked her a series of no less that five questions all centered on Hillary. NONE on the actual candidate. Pan to the next idiot reporter interviewing Schumer, first two questions on Clinton. Still none on the actual candidate. .
Hopefully, ,after I see T. Kennedy and Michelle my mood lift.
Try C-SPAN for a diversion. Also, watch Baratunde!! :>) :>)
Hang in there!! :>) :>)
She just laid it down again on Pat "racist" Buchannan". The crowd was eatin' it up. At one point Buchannan used the words "poor gal" when talking about Michelle's bio., I thought Eugene Robinson was going to check him. But no luck.
Hmmmm! Disappointing!!!! :>) :>) :>)
They are interviewing President Carter. My heart is going out to him. His mind is all there, but you can see age is catching up with him.

Everybody say a prayer tonight and every night throughout Obama's campaign and presidency.
Hmmmm????
I am watching this on PBS. So far, not too much about Clinton, although that ASS David Brooks was unnecessarily critical of Nancy Pelosi's speech, saying she just gave a Democrats vs. Republicans speech, not a great, this-is-why-you-should-vote-for-Obama speech. Dumbass, this is the DEMOCRATIC Convention-- not just Obama's political life is on the line in November!!
CFO-signing on the JJ,JR. speech!!! :>) :>)
YES...THESE PUMAS (or whoever they are) ARE POST-RATIONAL, YOU CANT MAKE SENSE OUT OF NONSENSE!!!!

I wubs her. I just found out she was a Rhodes Scholar. She is brilliant, but so right on.
Nancy Pelosi surely knows how to put on her fly suit and work the carpet, does she not? She looked great.
Neva did!!!! :>) :>)
Huh?
LAWD, I hope this doesn't happen!!!! :>) :>) :>)
She's all over Mr. O!! Whooo! Hoo! :>) :>)

MUSIC PLEASE: Still the One!!!!!! :>) :>)
Pass the tissues!!! :>)

Watch the Obama Response Ad:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/25/obama-...
"Yes, we’re friendly, but it’s ancient history and I denounced what he did, so what’s the big deal about socializing with, um, an unrepentant terrorist?"
Set aside the fact that Obama was a boy when Ayers was setting bombs; today Ayers is an unreconstructed hard-left radical with dramatic views on education and society - as he explained to Hugo Chavez during a speech in Venezuela in 2006, "La educacion es revolucion!"
Obama worked for five years with Bill Ayers on education reform while they were both with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Are we being asked to believe that, just as Obama initially claimed to have been unaware of Jeremiah Wright's views, he was also unaware of Ayers current radicalism?
"WALK ON BY!" [Dionne Warwick] :>) :>) :>)
Wonder if any Dems. will be speaking at the REpug Convention?? Heck!! Some major Repugs sent a NEGATIVE RSVP!!! :>) :>) :>) :>)
Uhm hmm!
I applaud the man's courage in just standing there.
I know it wasn't easy, but he did what he thought was right.
From what I can remember about him, he wasn't a Tom Delay type Republican (LOUD).
What I found out about Jim Leach (Congresspedia) :
"Legislation Leach authored spanned the gamut from creation of an international AID’s Trust Fund to debt relief for the world’s poorest countries; from authorization of an IMF quota increase to making the Peace Corps an independent federal agency; from requiring the federal government to use soy ink to prohibiting internet gambling; from restraining federal employee growth to redressing certain Holocaust asset losses.
"The legislation he is perhaps best known for is Gramm-Leach-Bliley which is considered one of the seminal pieces of banking legislation of the 20th century, second in import only to the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.
"After attending Princeton, the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins, and the London School of Economics, Leach entered the United States Foreign Service and served as a delegate to the Geneva Disarmament Conference and the U.N. General Assembly. In 1973, Leach resigned his commission in protest of the Saturday Night Massacre when Richard Nixon fired his Attorney General, Eliot Richardson, and the independent counsel investigating the Watergate break-in, Archibald Cox.
"After returning to Iowa to head a family business, Leach was elected in 1976 to Congress where he came to be a leader of a small band of moderate Republicans. He chaired two national organizations dedicated to moderate Republican causes – the Ripon Society and the Republican Mainstream Committee. He also served as president of the largest international association of legislators – Parliamentarians for Global Action.
"Leach serves on the board of several public companies and three non-profit organizations – the Century Foundation, the Kettering Foundation, and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and formerly served as a trustee of Princeton University.
"Leach holds eight honorary degrees and has received decorations from two foreign governments. He is the recipient of the Wayne Morse Integrity in Politics Award, the Woodrow Wilson Award from Johns Hopkins, the Adlai Stevenson Award from the United Nations Association, and the Edger Wayburn Award from the Sierra Club. A three-sport athlete in college, Leach was elected to the Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and the International Wrestling Hall of Fame in Waterloo, Iowa.
Rachel talks about the Hillary delegate that appears in the McCain ad. This supporter doesn't know McCain is for overturning Roe v. Wade, and "Post Rational" Hillary supporters:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=eG9eb9J3IKo
Rachel talks about McCain using the POW card..very short clip:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=HQsiRm5_e80
Got all the talking points!!! Whooooo! Hoo!! :>) :>)
On a side note: the "Latest DNC Video" imports are coming through as gobble-D-goop and i'm on a high-speed cable connection...would really LIKE FOR THE AUTOPLAY option to be disabled.
2. SAD! :>(
Teary eyed again.
Go Michelle!
Love the dress and hair!! :>) :>)
breathe
*raises hand*
Me!
:-)
It's tedious, but I love the JJP fam and conversations so much, I keep fighting.
HOW CUTE was the little one! "Hi, Daddy!"
Sasha was too cute! "Hi Daddy".
Remember the good times! :>)
She would be a wonderful first lady.
Wow.
SHE WAS GREAT!!! {Taritac} THE END!!! :>) :>)
I was so mad at that ass wipe David Brooks-- "I wanted to hear more about what Obama is like on a day-to-day basis."
GTHOH
What was supposed to say? "Well, first, Barack slaps the snooze button a couple times, then he wakes up and tries to give me a little something. Then he gets up and goes to the bathroom. After he finishes wiping his ass . . ."
Then the other PBS pundits chimed in saying that Michelle and the girls really gave us the sense that they are a real family like everyone else, that they really love each other.
Give me a break.
Sometimes white people seem to really think we are aliens.
I AM SOOOOOO CO-SIGNING!!!! Your EXAMPLES are so ON POINT!!!! :>) :>)
YES WE CAN!!! :>) :>)
Art imitating life.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=XDAaTzccCik
Whew! Educational grading Deep Breaths!!! :>) :>) :>)
Wish he would be so BOLD to speak FOR Mr. Obama!! :>) :>)
Growing up as a black kid, if you're lucky you have people around you to teach you about the people that look just like you who've made great impressions and great contributions in the world to make it a better place--because that information wasn't available in the history taught in schools!
But to be alive during an epic moment in history such as this one has overwhelmed me more than I thought possible. Deeply honored to be experiencing this moment in time.
STEEEEEEE-RIKE!!!! 10 pins down!!!!! :>) :>) :>)
Rachel just called Buchannan out on the Rethug's intolerance of gays, and just people who are not like them in general! She mentioned the cultural wars of 1992. She was hot.
Then Chris told him there was no Christian Democratic party, or litmus test in response to Buchannan saying the Michelle did not discuss "Chrisitianity".
Best believe the MSNBC execs will be having a talk with them to calm them all down.
I liked Caroline Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, Jim Leach, Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama, Malia and Sasha Obama, and, of course Barack Obama.
I think tonight's part of the convention was meant to humanize Barack Obama.
I think they succeeded.
Conventional wisdom seems to be that the Obama's need to convince us that that they are 'normal Americans.' I don't think that's necessary.
Americans need to be made to feel confident that he has the experience and judgment to lead. Is he ready? That's it. Period.
Bashing McCain. Choosing Biden. Michelle as a keynote speaker. None of these strategies imbue Obama with experience and judgment and will do nothing to allay those concerns.
I really don't know what will...other than time.
When he said "Well why don't you walk us through it?" she replied, "I'm not walking you through anything. That's a confidential process."
LOL
Amen for the bitchslap of Blitzer.
