Jack, thank you so much. Glad you checked in and gave us some insight from on the ground. I'll cross my fingers about the interview. We're a happening blog...it could happen...LOL

    1. Why is he a rarity among his contemporaries in supporting Obama?
    2. Do his contemporaries truly understand that they are on the wrong side of Black History?

    3. Why have they been silent as Hillpatine has race-baited Obama from one end of this country to the other?

Julie Mason just said on MSNBC that activists don't matter much because we're leftists that aren't really accountable so Mrs. Nixon's diss means nothing.

    1) What do you think about 24-hour cable "news", blogs, and modern "journalism"?

You know, replace GOP for Democrat and Religious Right for Moveon.org, and they wouldn't DARE utter such idiocy.

    This is important to know:

Imperative in rural PA: Undecideds, Lies and Demographics

Voter 1 is a Vietnam vet perhaps 60 years old. I met his wife at the front door, who said she and her husband were undecided. She said if I wanted to talk politics, I should talk with her husband who was out back. I found him in his wheelchair out in the back yard with his dog Pee Wee. After a few minutes of general conversation about the campaign, he said to me "I like a lot of things your guy says, but I can’t vote for someone who won’t salute our flag". Sadly, I was not surprised by this comment, since the lies about Obama’s religion and patriotism are rampant in this community. What surprised me was that he was so open about it, since I usually have to talk longer or raise the issue myself. So we talked at length about those lies, and how he could verify from reputable sources on the internet that they are lies. After that discussion, he said something like "You’ve made my day. I am so relieved that I can vote for him". Needless to say, it made my day too. (At the end of the day I slipped under his door an Obama flyer on "Faith, Hope and Change" that I had found, with a note thanking him).

Polls say Mrs. Nixon's lead in rural PA is exactly 1 point.

    1 point.

    We need to call.

Please ask Mr. Wilkins (if you get the chance)
what advice he has for journalism grads (undergrad and graduate) who will be leaving school this year?

    Great recap.
    Funny you mention Sozi.

The black philly attorney community is pretty small, apparently so is the blogosphere.

John McCain has apparently called on Barack Obama to denounce and reject the words of Bill Ayers on 9/11.

    Don't even try it Grandpa!

"Put me in coach, I'm ready to play, I can be center field!"

The music is standard rally fare. The country was blasting out in Harrisburg too. I think they played "only in America." Good song, fits with Obama's campaign.

Keep it up with the country!

Uh oh, we found the divisive issue which will ruin the Obama movement: music. Ha ha.

Forgive me, I was out in the rain today. And I've been working extremely hard...South Central PA is better than expected. I needed a laugh. :) Tuesday will be a good day. I trust Pennsylvania.

    Bag

Thanks for the info. I'm not seeing any reporting on the crowds or enthusiasm for Obama.

One commenter on a WaPo story from a reporter following Obama's train ride said that the press is playing down the numbers at the rallies.

Keep in touch as often as you can with descriptions.

    Thanks.

    Hi there!

My roommate and I took the China-town bus to Philly this weekend to campaign for Obama. We were stationed in South-West Philly. It proved to be an enjoyable experience, knowing that we did out part:

"This is our time. And, if you're willing to stand with us, and if you're willing to march with me and organize with me and vote for me, I promise you we will not just win the nomination, we will win the general election and you and I together will transform this country, and we will transform the world."

    -Obama ‘08

Thank you for the mixed tape: http://barackthevote.muxtape.com/ I already sent it out to my distribution list!
