Bill Maxwell, the author of the article, is an African American.

I wonder if Miss Jerri, thinks that Mr. Maxwell has his job, because he is black? She does not think highly of us black people. Or does she pick and choose, who among us is worthy of her praise?

Check out this article from Fournier: He basically warns Obama about being too uppity!

"... louder and more dissonant..." Expect this and more, but I think that Senator Obama is absolutely correct to believe in the best of Americans. This is my chosen leader, I'll follow his lead.

    That is all.

LOL. This entire blog is an "accident on the side of the road". Racists-R-Us. No different than a David Duke Fan / KKK fan site, just black instead of white. Just a bunch of pitiful, bigoted hypocrites.

louder and more dissonant. he knew it was coming and he is ready. their attacks betray their angst and fixation. they are looking to him for leadership as well. like children acting out. ....andy

That should be the other way around.

We definitely will never trust the Clintons again. EVER.

How many times were we supposed to allow them to burn us before we got tired and turned the tables on them?

Another Handkerchief Head shilling for Missy Hillary - I hope she paid him well, because he will be discarded like everyone else they use for their own agendas.

Regardless of race this whole idea that voters owe a vote to any politician pisses me off. Voters owing a vote to politician sounds a great deal like clientalism, and that is bad for democracy.

I'll never vote for Hillary Clinton. She's a liar and she has too many personalties and her husband has no morals.

All the fools that are supporting her for a job don't know that if she wins there will be a limit to how many AAs they can bring to the whitehouse.

Blacks are running away from Clinton in droves simply do to her behavior in attempting to belittle the audacity of Obama to run a better campaign and best her. But I guess we forgot our "roles" as the dutiful, ever pleasing servants and should never think of ourselves as citizens who have an interest in the politics of the nation.

If this is an accident at the side of the road, here's the important question: "Is the Democratic Party totaled, or can we pound out the dents and keep driving it?"

I'm so disappointed in the Clintons' behavior this year and especially in that of their surrogates, who seem to derive glee from making these boneheaded statements.

Wow. And here I thought American democracy was mature enough that people were past the idea that voters should ever be beholden to a politician. To be honest, that piece gave me a nasty flashback to some of the sycophantic politics I saw when I was studying in my 'other island' Jamaica, where people were so blindly beholden to a certain political party that they could not even see to look out for their own best interests. The politicians could take the worst kind of advantage of them and they would still be 'PNP/Labourite til mi dead'.

Is Mr. Maxwell serious? African Americans should have 'dash way' the Clintons long time! For every thing he can list that the Clintons 'did for us' there are dreadful things like the disparity in crack/cocaine sentencing and so-called welfare reform that damaged the black community.

Moreover this idea that black people should be grateful to white people for advancing their BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS drives me up a WALL!

Then to top it all off, the Clinton campaign had substantial black support until they decided to indulge in nasty race-baiting that even offended their fellow whites. THAT is when blacks 'betrayed' Clinton - only pity is that it took them so long!

LOL, she has never been a friend of the black community, just like her husband, lip service does not mean you are for equality, and, actions speak much louder than words, except the nasty racial trash they heaped out in SC and TX and CA to get white and Hispanic votes.

I'll sound like a GOP voter in the Deep South, good riddance to both Clinton's and that circus of lies and hypocrisy that follows them. And, since both were on the public dole and getting paid, no one "owes" them anything.
