... or any people that aren't in his immediate circle of fat cats. If you make under one million a year, beware, Bush don't care if you go drowning in water, debt, gas prices and (insert any other given catastrophe).

Remember John McCain's words about Katrina.... "At Least No Arabian Horses Died"!

    S.O.B.!

    CPL,

You are absolutely right - Bush shoudl be held accountable. As far as Alphonso is concerned, don't forget about the contracts he awarded unbidded on the Katrina clean-up as well.

Justice - please tell me this is a joke. If not it should be played everyday this fall on Louisana and miss. TV.
  • justice58 · 1 year ago
Oh No ruthdfw...Not a joke! John McCain said this on hardball with Chris Matthews! And was laughing at the time!

    The S.O.B. actually said it!

We should also run that picture of him and Bush eating cake while Katrina victims were drowning, as well as play that clip...

From now until November. And when McCain brings up anything negative about Obama that doesn't concern the issues, we should also run that piece about McCain's ditching his crippled wife for a trophy heiress, when he's supposed to be the "Family Values-Straight Talk" man.

    Admiral:

That article is exactly what I'm talking about.

But, the MSM being what they are... i.e., FAKE JOURNALISTS, I'm not holding my breath.

Let us stop asking what's wrong with our Government. We KNOW what's wrong with it. It is run and operated by individuals who were given their positions out of loyalty, being able to rig or steal elections, or all of the above. But, never, ever think it is because they were competent and possessed the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

that's all true, but what's REALLY WRONG with republicans and government is that they do not believe in it, they are opposed to it, they do not want it, they want to get rid of it.

it's part of who they are: anti-government. to then put them in charge of it is absurd.

my hope is that with the bush disaster that will finally become clear to the american people.

    bigassbelle,

Indeed, how can they compete so strenuously for something they fundamentally oppose.
  • The Christian Progressive Libe · 1 year ago
Belle, you point out a fundamental concept about Republicans' theory of American Government - the concept of elimination of, or neutralizing Government that evolves into either anarchy or facism.

Yet they compete for political office just like Democrats, and you know you have jumped the shark in terms of thinking when you campaign telling people you can best represent their interests by getting rid of the forum by which to take care of those interests.

Only lunatics would suggest they can do a job they are actively seeking to eliminate. And you're right, like foxes, they were put in charge of the henhouse when the reality is, they want to raid the henhouse and eat up all the chickens. 59 million Americans voted to hand over the keys to the drunk that had no business being behind the wheel.
