Hey I'm a conservative independant. I have no problem with Obama's shift to the right. In fact, I embrace it. I just love to see all the Kool Aid drinkers who bought all this Bullshyt about this negro bringing new politics seeing the light. He is a DLC corporatist type just like Corey Booker, Harold Ford, Jr., and Adrienne Fenty. All these Ivy League negroes are cut from the same cloth. You never heard the old saying, "Harvard has ruined more Negroes than bad wiskey."

Maybe because Baratunde comes from that jackshyt institution its hard for him to realize exactly what Obama is. But I've always known. All I wanted him to do was be honest. Now that he is doing so, I'm happy. He's go my support. Maybe the rest of you negroes will stop thinking this fool walks on water. And please stop with the ebony magazine Obama pics on this blog. Can we get at least some decent critique of this guy. Black Agenda Report has put y'all to shame and has been right on the money about Obama all the time.

Is our righteous Black anger worth being tempered in order to get this corporatist mulatto into the white house? Ask yourself that question. I know most black folk have not.

I loved seeing Malia in cornrows---such a beautiful little girl, like her mommy and her sister. Just normal kids, a normal family. A lovely thing in this day and age. I know Barack isn't perfect, but he is waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of anyone else.

What is there to respect about a devil like that singing a song about how good times were when slavery existed? And that was I believe in the early 90s - talk about a die-hard racist! Well he's finally dead - Good!!!!

Cheers greeted Obama, his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters as they arrived to watch the town parade. The crowd also broke into song, singing a rendition of "Happy Birthday" for Obama's oldest daughter, Malia, who turned 10 on Friday.

Obama joked that he told the birthday girl not to get caught up in all the fuss.

"All the fireworks and stuff are not just for her," he said to laughs.

After the parade, the Obamas were hosting a "family picnic" for hundreds of people _ part campaign rally, part birthday party for Malia..............
