Jack and Jill Politics: Funny Sundays: Something Happening In Haiti

  • SquarePeg · 1 year ago
Is this a SNL skit? I mean really, with the breathless over-the-top anchor woman looking into the camera with her serious face, I thought the world was coming to an end.

    BREAKING, BREAKING, BREAKING!!

Where do they get these people from. SNL is funnier. Unfortunately for the people of Haiti they have been reduced to an all to not funny routine by the just out of journalism school talking heads on these stations.

    Pathetic.

    It's just a joke.

A little satire for your Sundays. http://www.theonion.com/content/index</br>

Satire's not for the humorless, the ignorant, the thin-skinned, the ideologue.

I can identify with satire any day of the week and think that I have a great sense of humor since I am responding to your tasteless attempt at sarcasm and put down.

It would be all to funny if the MSM did not report such horrendous conditions in the same way as the "funny lady" did.

Save your intellectually uninspired snide remarks for somebody else.

You obviously can't identify with satire. If you could, you would understand that the video was not made to poke fun at the conditions in Haiti, but instead at the incompetency of major news networks to provide accurate, relevant information. Haiti was chosen as the country of discussion because it is one that has a history of political turmoil. The humor would be significantly flatter and the punchline much weaker, had the writers instead chosen a nation that is more stable. I'm sorry, but "Something Happening In Canada" just doesn't cut it. If you know the Onion, then you'd know that no one is excluded from their crosshairs.
