Even sent an article to Axelrod. No answer. I've also been putting it out wherever I can on the various comments threads. If you've got any ideas, I'm open them. I gather from goggling this that the Obama campaign tried this in the summer of 2007 and immediately dropped it as too xenophobic. I don't see it that way; it's about Clinton lying, but I can see their point. I got a nice Indian very politely saying that to me over at Jed Report.

Re: Hillary " Tonya Harding" Clinton’s Colombia Ties DON’T Stop With Penn

to john shreffler -

I forgot to add, after reading the whole article my impression was the writer was conveying with a wink and a nod that Hillary is only saying what she has to here in the U.S. to get votes. I don't understand why she's getting a pass on the whole India outsourcing situation.

Re: Hillary " Tonya Harding" Clinton’s Colombia Ties DON’T Stop With Penn

to john shreffler -

the important thing is if that information can get out to the PA voters who are supposedly more concerned about jobs than race or Hillary's so called "experience."

Re: Hillary " Tonya Harding" Clinton’s Colombia Ties DON’T Stop With Penn

The Columbians in 2005 paid Bill Clinton $800,000 to speak in favor of free trade, and he did his job. He's demoted, but will still do polling in a reduced capacity. I just have a feeling the campaign's strapped for cash and having trouble paying staff. We know his fees were in the hundreds of thousands per month....

They've got a new thing on the website where donations are geared to specific items like tv airtime etc. You choose what you'd like to contribute to, but the numbers are not climbing very fast.

I have a hunch her campaign is winding down because of low donations. Many of her supporters will not be happy about her income. Hillary has used the poor, victimized woman to generate sympathy and financial support. Now that these women - many of modest means - see that Hillary is incredibly wealthy, they'll be reluctant to donate. I think of that 40 year old who made $14 per hour, and skipped lunches to donate $25. I think if that was me I'd feel sort of foolish.

Re: Hillary " Tonya Harding" Clinton’s Colombia Ties DON’T Stop With Penn

But you know, is Mark Penn really a campaign issue? I read an article in Asia Times regarding outsourcing to India. "Indian-Americans stake their political claim" by Siddharth Srivastava dated 9/14/2007. Has anyone in the press bothered to make the connection that the President of Colombia criticized Obama for being against the trade deal he supports, but NOT Clinton, when she supposedly has the same views as Obama on the subject?
