But, the White Citizens Council Network doesn't even say that they're sorry, but continues to find Black folk willing to go on their network to be disrespected and abused.
I guess Tavis and others use the rationale of getting the issue out to the broadest possible audience, but I'm sorry, at some point, doesn't that excuse, which doesn't really have basis in fact, fall flat?
our is here
thanks.

(sigh) Yes, Hillary had the soundbite of the night. OK? But at a time when one has the opportunity to speak candidly to a Black audience, is it really enough to just tell us what we want to hear? Is it really enough to put on the best show? If so, then Hillary wins every time.
Give plenty of credit to John Edwards for addressing the pervasive issue of poverty. But at the end of the day, the ordinary Black American isn't affected by poverty or unfair drug sentencing (as Mike Gravel presumed was the only issue we understand). Senator Obama fills that void. But if he's going to have the audacity to use the word responsibility within the same sentence as African Americans, he's going to continue to find plenty of cold Black shoulders. There's no greater illustration of that than recent polls showing Hillary capturing as much or more of the Black vote than Obama. No he doesn't have the pugnaciousness of Dennis Kucinich, but then Kucinich is a second-tier candidate. Obama is one who happens to be introspective, contemplative and deliberative. No he's not Jesse. No he's not Reb'm Al. But then looking up and outside of my own circle, he's not supposed to be. He's someone who might be president of every kind of American; an influencial leader of every kind of world citizen. That he doesn't possess the one-liners to bring a handful of Black folk to their feet only means that he won't be president of Black America anytime soon.
Someone else can say if that's a good thing or bad thing.
Props to Tavis for putting this together. It's a testament to his national credibility as a respected journalist and commentator. Not sure what made him stumble onto the FOX News set, but I can forgive him this transgression.
Now I dont know if there will ever be enough black people who can get their points across to ever effect anyone who watches FOX. I have a feeling most of their audience is solely about watching something that only reinforces what they think, not watching something that forces them to think.
If FOX is the blatant racist then the other mainstream media outlets would be the passive racist.
