The first soldier needs to stomp with Obama.
Clinton and McCain are from the same frame of mind.
It is one thing to express your views, but action in support or the candidate who is aligned with your views is important.
Don't let this be wasted....support Sen. Obama.
This is obscene...and who voted for this war...Clinton and McCain.
This is an outrage!!!!!!!
WTF!
I just heard that...the fall out remains.
This happened after the Iowa Caucus! Someone wanted to know about this new rising star!
Though this isn't the hot issue right now, wanted to point some things out.
The original Winter Soldier investigation has been, over time, proven to be a farce. Of 48 cases that were investigated by Army CID, only one had enough evidence to substantiate it. This investigation was put on by the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW).
Fast forward to 2008. Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW)-a spinoff of VVAW-holds their Winter Soldier investigation under tight security (including sharpshooters on the roof!) at the National Labor College in MD. The hearings were NOT open to the public, with the exception of some media (mostly IVAW allies and supporters, with a few pro-mission/military bloggers invited in the name of "fairness").
Why am I going through all this?
My views on the war are somewhat well know, and I know where you (and the majority of JJP) stands as well. However, to introduce this sort of information-which has been neither vetted or verified through outside research-is a little bit dangerous.
7 comments above my own, while the latest clinton v. obama outrage has dozens.
george bush's campaign to make this war invisible has been almost wholly effective. what a fucking travesty.
dick cheney, when told 2/3 of the american people want the war to end:
"So?"
the american people, when told of the ongoing tragedy of iraq:
"So?"
And thank you, D.
