You know what, I'm glad that he did it. HOWEVER, its not going to save his seat at the next election cycle. And the same goes for the rest of the CBC who are STILL standing with Hillary after all the race baiting BS that Team Clinton did. Then they shouldn't be surprised when their constituents go 'Master Sgt. Vernon Waters'** all over them at the next election.

When Lewis originally looked like he was going to switch to Obama then pulled back, I knew that he knew he made a mistake. Roland Martin was talking about it on Michael Baisden yesterday. A young 30 year old preacher is looking to run against him. Hmm.his job is on the line. Thats a wake up call...enough with the political cronyism!! Listen to your constituents.

Expect more of the same from other black elected official who initially supported Hillary. Barack is thumping Hillary in their districts.


Members of the Congressional Black Caucus based their calculation upon the Clinton brand-name. It was the convenient selection at the time/



Now that Barack is cleaning her clock in districts they supposedly represent there's a dangerous opening for the old Negro Spiritual leaders in the CBC that supported Hillary.



Obamaniacs are maturing rapidly from volunteers and voters into BarackSTAR candidates for public office in 2008 and 2010. It's bigger than one man, it really is a generation shift.

I've been missing my JJP! You best believe it. I really missed out on the SOTU threads...sorry I couldn't comment any sooner.



I actually live in the ATL and heard Markell Hutchins speak on our local radio WVEE 103.3...some of my friends have heard Hutchins speak too...we reached a consensus: ANOTHER SISTER OR BROTHER NEEDS TO STEP UP AND COMPETE FOR THE SEAT.



I agree that JohnL, StephanieTJ, and Sheila JL need to "get kicked" out the House, but there must be worthy candidates to step into those shoes...otherwise it's a waste.



It doesn't necessarily require a major generation shift either...I WISH THAT JOSEPH LOWERY WOULD RUN FOR JOHN LEWIS'S SEAT. Joseph Lowery, Founder of the SCLC, supported *O* when 'supporting *O* wasn't even cool YET.



Is anyone else on this blog keeping up with Detroit's KWAME Kilpatrick...does anyone else care? Do I need to write a post and submit it via email? I think that we should definitely be discussing Kwame on here.
