Keith's comments are on point. I sense that the contest is starting to slip away from Team Clinton. I hope that the number of superdelegates supporting Obama will keep growing ... he got Sen. Casey (D-PA) today...

rikyrah, I know exactly what you mean. I've often called Secretary Rice a fraud, and then she does something like this and I pause.

Maybe she's considering a veep spot after all.

Imagine if the Republicans get the chance to put a Black American and a woman in yet another historical national office?

I said months ago that even despite Rice's many negatives, she would be McCain's best bet for veep against Obama or Clinton.

Obama would have to choose Samantha Power as his running mate if McCain chooses Rice.

(Just kidding.)

I know I wrote the DNC yesterday per the suggestion here. I suspect many others are letting the Dems know how they feel and the Party finally "understands" the risks if they don't speak up.

I agree with rikyrah, I didn't know Boykins was so in the bag for the Clinton's.

A two and a half month concerted race-baiting effort, and the brother's just now getting only a little upset.

I am still trying to understand the basis among black people like Tubman and Boykin for their feelings of loyalty to the Clintons and initial feelings of indifference or suspicion regarding Obama. What was it exactly that these former Clinton believers knew about them that the rest of us somehow missed?

I voted for Br. Bill twice but I held my nose each time that I did. I don't think that I have a unique sense of smell but my bullshit detector always worked when it came to the Clintons. I still want an explanation because fervently embracing Obama is as dangerous as fervently embracing the Clintons. One of the things that I greatly like and enjoy about Obama is that I can support him with my time and money but I don't have to drink the loyalty flavored kool aid.

Jill, great Post! I think you and your family were in the same boat as upwards of 40-60% of black Americans who supported Hillary early on. We thought Hillary and Bill were cool.

Now we know that they speak with color aroused fork tongue.

On the hand Rikyrah saw the light all along.

Your right Rikyrah, Howard Dean is giving to little to late. The democrats will have hell to pay if they even think of giving her the nomination. She should just go ahead and concede. She is done!

I'm just going to say it - not enough. Not nearly enough. What took them so damn long.

But, I guess it does confirm what I said below..

Even Black folk that don't go to church, know that you don't crap on the Black church and insult it. ( I have no knowledge of Boykin's church habits, just that it took insulting the Black Church for him to FINALLY break the Hillpatine habit.)

I'm ashamed his race-baiting threshold level was so damn high.
