  • While driving to work today. I was listening to Bill Bennett.
    His guest was Jil Stanek.
She's scheduled to appear on CNN today to discuss Barack's stance
on Infantcide in response to the exchange that occured between Donna Brazile and Bill Bennett. This woman is also planning a 527 ad.

I bring this women up, b/c I see the new push being Roe V. Wade. Even supporters of Hillz should know that Barack fully supports Womens Rights.

She actually had the nerve to tie Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama, and the Hospital she worked at all together in regards to Barack's stance on Babies born after aboriton.
When asked by Bill Bennett, what was Father Pfleger's (TRYING TO USE AND PLAY THE CATHOLICS AGAINST ABORTION CARD) stance she had no idea.
At the end of this interview, it prompted Bill Bennett to say. " And he wants to be President. Not of my country"

I really wish the fairness doctrine passes. We need LEFT representaion down here in TEXAS bad!
  • What happened between Donna Brazile and Bill Bennett?
  • Well according to Bill, Obama will have to kiss my *ss if he wants my help.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/usel...
  • Maybe Ann Dunham should have been allowed to abort Barack Obama Jr. After all, according to Bill Bennett, the world is a better place when black babies are aborted.
  • What? When and how did he say this?
  • Now I know the media doesn't want to hear about this but shouldn't the McCains pay their taxes seeing how proud they are to live in this country
    http://www.newsweek.com/id/143775/
And while they at it McCain's base the media should compare the different tax policies

  • I think that The Field at http://narcosphere.narconews.com/thefield/http:... should be included in the More Political Blogs list.

Love, love, love the new toys and look @JJP!
  • Looks like it is time to question McCain's POW status as a qualification for being POTUS. Apparently he lacks "command experience" and namely "wartime experience."

    GAME ON.
  • Please tell me you've read this...wow...

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/usel...
  • Looks like someone beat me to it...never mind...
  • Nice new blog site. I'm going to have to create a disqus account in the near future...

I'm so glad that Wesley Clark addressed the notion of how being a POW makes you a better Commander-in-Chief?

    Finally.
  • The media is trying to push back against Gen. Clark and Obama since McCain's record is off limits.Go to this link and show your support by sighning the petition.Peace

  • Hi all,

Nice! Got to get use to it! Not real sure what I'm doing right now! lol
  • I've created an account.

Someone needs to tell Bill Clinton, "Dude, it's not about YOU!"

I really wish Obama would say, "Kiss YOUR ass?"
    "No."
"How about YOU pay YOUR own debt!"
  • lol
  • John McCain graduated #894 out of a class of #,the bottom 1/2 percent, from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958 . Moreover, his father and grandfather got him into the Elite flying school,"Airdales" inspite of hs academic performance or lack thereof. Therefore he is no match for Barack Obama who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School. Plus John McCain crashed 5 airplanes and his father protected him . Yet when his father died in 1991he left 1 week later.....to be continued...
  • I'm still reeling over "Hard Times at Douglass High" on HBO, and the fact that Mugabe is an embarrassment to all black folks in the Diaspora. How's that?
  • NB....#899 out of #899
  • Did anyone see Barack's speech on patriotism today? One of his best.

    P.S. Great new site :)
  • How did she bring up Jeremiah wright and Pfleger? What did they say? These people make me laugh because they seem to know very little about those two men.
  • I can't believe Barack rejected Clark's statement. It's true. This is definitely the silly season.

    And speaking of silly:

The World's Fastest Man is Homosexual!
  • Sheesh! A "homosexual filter"?!
  • Craig,
I thought that was silly as well. I don't want to hear of another reject or denounce from the Obama campaign. I really don't.
It is dissapointing to see this simple media, that is dumbing down most Americans. It is sad that Gen Clark in making a simple reasonable statement is being used to make HEADLINE news.
  • I am not picking up your current post on feedburner. Any suggestions?

    http://thisweekwithbarackobama.blogspot.com
  • I fixed it, never mind....:)
  • Google shuts down anti-Obama sites.

And, Now just imagine Blogger was the FEC

Pro-Hillary supporters are not welcomed at Goggle's blogspot. At least 7 blogs were locked-out the other day.
  • Love the edit button...the entire new site, in fact.
  • Like the new site and the way we can reply directly. Can you get rid of the white background though?
  • I agree on the white background...
  • Reposted from the patriotism speech post..

While I do think that Clark's point about McCain not having any real EXECUTIVE military experience was valid, I think that he went to far in the soundbyte department. That "..getting shot down" line compeletely overtook his point about mccain's experience and Obama had to distance himself.

What's sad is this whole stupid thing about Clark completely overshadwoed what I think was a great speech by Obama today. Many on the netroots are too busy "dissing" Obama to realize what a great speech it was. If not for this whole Clark/McCain hoopla, the speech would have been more well receieved on it's own merits. Now it will only be analyzed based on its inference to "POW -gate"
  • Look who the latest racially inflammatory ads come from...

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/30/black-...
  • That's disgusting and not at all surprising. I'm sure there will be a main post shortly by one of our illustrious contributing editors on this.
  • How pathetic. Self-hate is a terrible thing.

I've got a video for you. If anyone tells you that racism hasn't been in the coverage of Obama's run, have them take a look at this. I'm sure many here will agree with Harriet "Christian" that 99% of us black folk are all backing Obama solely because he is black.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ti19VwLzkY

Pass it on so more people can be aware of this bullshit.
  • Didn’t look or sound like an “attack” to me. Ads offered the facts. HuffPo didn’t link to the NBRA though, and only showed a few of the ads. One link has six more ads. HuffPo shows the one with three ads.

    National Black Republican Association

Look for the “Radio Ads” section, about a ¼ of the way down.

NBRA Martin Luther King Was A Republican
    (six ads)
  • These attacks on Obama will have minimal effect, if any, in the black community. In fact, they could backfire on blacks in the GOP.

Black Republicans already have a bad image in the minds of black voters; consider this.

I think a lot of black voters will come to think that black Republicans are doing the GOP's "dirty work" by running these negative attack ads. This will not help black Republicans' reputation among African Americans, but rather, damage it.
  • I know...I know, "Field Negroes" are in the majority, and consider Black Republicans to be "House Negroes". How can the ads hurt them any more?
  • How can the ads hurt them more?

Well, right now, many black folks think of black Republicans as being "wrong" on the issues.

These attack ads present black Republicans as not just "wrong" but "bad." They're now going beyond having unwelcome positions, to now using unwelcome campaign tactics.

I think that could generate more ill will against the black GOP, especially for the part of the black electorate that is becoming sensitized to the attacks on Barack and also Michelle Obama.
  • The Democratic Party has been duping and using "black folks" for decades now, and they need to really look at the issues. The NBRA ads are presenting the facts, and facts harm no one...well, other than the Democratic Party, perhaps.
  • We will have to agree to disagree. The comment that the Democratic Party has been duping and using "black folks" is debatable.

Meanwhile, the existence of the GOP Southern Strategy to appeal to white racist ex-Dixiecrats is a fact that was acknowledged by no less than Ken Mehlman - see http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/18/washington/18...

I am familiar with the NBRA. The cling a lot to the black Republican past, which is understandable, because they seem to have little going for them in the present...

It is all well and good for them to attack Obama, but I would think they want to be known for more than just being the GOP's black hatchet men. (One ad states "Obama is an arrogant elitist who turned his back on poor blacks and his own country." Yes, that is hatchet-ry.)

But then, my thinking on what black Republicans want to be known for could be wrong. Perhaps in the end, these ads are pretty much what they're about, no more, no less.
  • Can I just say how much this site rocks? I love the new look!

Okay...enough of that from me now.
  • You're kidding, right?
  • Sadly, I'm not. The one person who looked like they "might" be a person of color was seen during the part where he was talking about moving the people off the welfare rolls. I realize he has to appeal to the "mainstream" but I've seen more black people in a John McCain ad.
  • Of course you have. Because John McCain is targeting non-white people and Barack is targeting non-black people.

There's an election that needs to be won.
  • lol,aw come on, he could have had ONE black guy working in the factory.
  • Love the new site! Congrats on the move
  • Site looks great. Congratulations!!

Obama is not getting any money from me this month-- Father's Day, FISA, denouncing and rejecting Clark, liking the handgun decision, wanting to expand the death penalty to include child rape, have all been giant disappointments to me. I know the conventional wisdom says that Democrats have to run to the center, but every time we do that we lose.

He put himself in this position of having to please his most ardent supporters, many of whom are liberal, in order to get campaign dollars. When he disappoints us, we don't give. I have a feeling his June numbers are going to be way down.
  • Also, has anyone heard about this? Three states have anti-affirmative action measures on ballots: http://www.democracynow.org/2008/6/30/affirmati...
