Jack and Jill Politics: Obama Overseas: If U.S. Political Reporters Were As Good As U.K. Entertainment Reporters

  • dilettante · 1 year ago
This person totally forgot about the tube bombings or the fact that Sriah Law is coming to the UK.

Actually the interview was about the perception of Barack Obama by Europe and the UK. I will say that I fear some people are are quick to dismiss dumb ignorant Christians for being believers in this day and age, while at the same time giving a pass on Islam- out of fear of being seen as unPC. It doesn't help when this tourist attraction (Prince Charles) declares he wants to be a 'defender of faith' not the defender of the faith. That's throwing out a lot of history, which isn't something, Sikhs, Muslims, Jews or anyone else has asked the govt/monarch to do.

Having said all that, the premise of your comment, and/or the efficacy of American unilateralism fighting the GWOT alone or w/ "tough talk" is a logical as well as actual failure. Anyone paying attention to the fiasco in Iraq would know that.

I love June! She is referred to as a 'news presenter' - lol. I used to watch her show weekdays when I live in the UK. I also like the fact she is an identifiably Black woman who is intelligent and insightful. Her website is great. Also she has a well-documented love for nice shoes!

Meredith crushed him in that interview. I notice that he uses ""Senator Obama" a lot in that interview...He says O's name with jaw clenched.

This person totally forgot about the tube bombings or the fact that Sriah Law is coming to the UK. I'm tired of hearing this talk when Europe has been of a kick of electing "Pro American" PM's to get lectured about how "bullish" America has become in the past 8 years. You know what I say: Too Damm Bad, deal with it or step off! Oh and I'm tired of America getting the flack on the GWOT however Europe looks the other way. Its almost to the point were we should just purge out Al Queda and send them to Europe, they dont get a hoot about terrorism. Let radical Islam take over the UK and then she can come crying to America to save there asses again.

"This person totally forgot about the tube bombings or the fact that Sriah Law is coming to the UK."

To be taken seriously, you atleast put forward a semblance of appearing like you know what you are talking about. I do believe you mean Shariah law. And if you actually READ beyond the headlines you would also realize that this so called proclamation that "Shria Law" is coming to UK is fear mongering sound bites. I suggest you look up 1) the clause about both parties consenting and 2) the clause about how even if both parties do agree, no judgement that goes against established UK laws can be passed. So you are pretty much looking at cases of inheritance at max.

    Baratunde: JACK'S BACK!!! YAAAAA! Get'im! :>)

This is GREAT INFORMATION!! Noticed how Ms. Sarpong picked up on every attempt at a NEGATIVE statement or IMPLICATION about Mr. Obama! She's TIGHT
and THEY LOST the debate [in the guise of in interview]!!! :>)

    Thanks for "bringing it"!!! :>)

I graded him down for that remark, Jack. He was number one.

I can take a wild guess and place you in the "blame America" crowd. I dont give a flying F what someone thinks about America in Brussels. Wake up and smell the organic coffee, I'm sick and tired of America being dragged in the mud. Start cutting off that foreign aid money and these Euros would think twice about opening there mouths.

something you disagree with and its labeled a "troll" Sorry if I'm not sipping the koolaid however someone has to break the monotony.
  • msmartin · 1 year ago
Not really. You can go where your kind is.
  • Roger · 1 year ago
You certainly are breaking the monotony...by bringing moronic generalizations.

If you, say, backed up your statements with something other than tinfoil and "get off my lawn!" maybe you'd get a better hearing.
