Obama Now Takes The Lead in Superdelegates Too

May 09, 2008 6:19 AM

ABC News’ Karen Travers Reports:
For the first time this campaign season, Barack Obama has surpassed Hillary Clinton’s support among superdelegates, according to the ABC News delegate estimate.

  • It's funny how, yet again the MSM is not pointing out that he now leads in all metrics, however at the same time , is towing the line for HRC campaign's new goal post strategy about WV and Kentucky being the deciding factor.

I mean they really need to get real. Howard Dean, please grow a pair and bring this party together or you will surely lose in the Fall and I, as a voter will surely never vote Democrat again.
  • Notice how the Clinton SD's who have come out for her since Indiana have said things like "my district overwhelmingly supported her," as the reason for the choice, whereas those who come out for Obama give substantive statements about his character and policies?
  • lexusoakland,

    I noticed that.
  • I disagree with N. Between the Time magazine cover, comments from Tim Russert, etc. I think a significant part of the MSM has pretty much figured out what we knew 3 months ago.

I think Clinton is getting some attention because she is saying provocative (and stupid) comments to get that attention.
  • adam,

Watching the clip of Russert on NBC Nightly News, with his little board, and his eraseable markers, breaking down the numbers like the audience was in third grade, all the while with the most serious face he could find - was hilarious.
  • Yes! I love me some dry erase board. That shit cracks me up to no end.

I'm like you, if we could just take that CNN electronic map thingy and move to MSNBC between Russerts white board and that map I would have all the info I ever needed.

I have seen other geeky analysis on Daily Kos and other sites that basically says it is impossible for Obama to NOT get the pledged delegate majority on May 20. His candicacy is viable (meaning above 15%) in every congressional district left to vote so Sen. Clinton can spark up a Klan rally in WV and Ken. all the wants, the ball game is over.
  • Adam,

Like someone said on DailyKos...confederate pantsuit

Would someone please post Stephanie Tubbs-Jones interview with Andrea Mitchell today defending HRC on the "hard working Americans, white Americans statement.

It was unbelievable, she even said Obama was playing the race card when Obama said let's make history. She said he was speaking to black Americans.
  • ms.martin nobody needs to see Tubbs-Jones caricature herself yet again.

Let's just let that ugliness be.
  • Obama's gotten 8 Supers today.
  • Since the Clinton's have decided that only white hardworking Americans count it is time to ask her African American super delegates if they agree with that comment.
