Jack and Jill Politics: Pat Buchanan Sounds “Like Obama”?

I had the same reaction this morning.

I didn't like the fact that Lawrence Kudlow KEPT TALKING, thereby blocking any point Pat Buchanan was trying to make.

I am not a Pat Buchanan fan, but he (Pat) was making good points (people going thru the World Trade Center rubble after 9/11 vs. Dick Grasso [but Grasso gets the big bucks]).

    Lawrence Kudlow: what an asshole.

Kudlow is a tool. That entire show was just a WTF fest: Kudlow, Buchanan, Barnacle and Jack Welch. All moderated by the dipstick Mika. I was like, ick.

I guess we're supposed to be glad it wasn't the $300-400M the CEO of Bear Sterns got.

Buchanan's white identity and MSM pundit cards will be suspended if he continues to push an economic populist line. What I found interesting is that Buchanan did not display his usual pugnacity when addressing Kudlow and Welch; he let Kudlow repeatedly talk over him. He has been trained well to respect his betters. Talk about the hidden injuries of class!

"He has been trained well to respect his betters. "

Hilariously true! Jack Welch -> GE -> NBC -> MSNBC -> Pat Buchanan. The man knows who pays the bills.

Kudlow and Welch were so disdainful of Obama. Ridiculous.

It was weird to hear them talk so disparagingly of Sprtizer. Welch left his wife for another woman, so he's a hypocrite to criticize the guy. Kudlow admitted he has a drinking problem. They shouldn't throw stones.

Amazing , someone found a bigger blowhard than Pat Buchanan. He couldn't get a word in edgewise.

Who is this Kudow guy? He gives me one more reason to stay away from CNBC...and I've never even watched the network.

His "middle America doesn't want to take from the rich" (paraphrase) nonsense is a miscontruction of what Obama's message on taxing the rich more than the middle. After all, they make more, so why should those who make substantially less have to carry a heavier tax burden than the rich do? What's difficult to understand about that? How does that turn into taking from the rich? Selfish bastards.

When inflation rises and wages don't keep pace, then this is an back-handed pay-cut.

But fixing the minimum wage indexed to inflation is 'bad'.

The class warfare is on the surface if one has even rudimentary critical thinking skills.

Pat B., in the end-analysis, helps keep screwed-over white working class votings voting against their own economic interests--and this is why he earns millions in the MSM. Of course he is not going to push the economic populism meme too far--he wouldn't have access to all those corporate dollars.

Watching these rightwing white ....cks lionize and apologize the corporate order makes me want to hook them to a plow, and work them twelve hours a day (with breaks and ample water, of course).

Pat Buchanan's new book makes some great points but falls apart when he spins he tries to spin his antisemitism in to something he thinks people can digest. He poises him self in a position where you have to agree with him, but then drops a bomb in your lap. Nice tactics, but none the less futile. I suggest reading this book review on his new book.
