Great discussion! I'm tired of and disappointed with Hillary's act as well.

I must admit that I do feel sorry for her, because I know how hard she has worked to get herself to this point, in spite of the systemic barriers. But she has cross what for me is a bright line in terms of her treatment of what was actually her most loyal constituency. She's forfeited an indispensable part of her base.

I hope that she and all American politicians learn a new lesson from this experience. We're doing a noble job when we help them to learn that lesson, even if it's a hard one for her this time around.

Sorry, but I must disagree with those who want Obama to fight back... that would add fuel to the fire that Hillary has been making. I know the temptation to fight back is there, but that's exactly what Hillary wants Barack to do. She has a chance if they both are negative. If he stays positive, she has no chance: the one thing she can't fake is being positive. Positives, coolness are her Achilles heel.

you are definitely not alone in knowing the deal with Hillary and Barack...since

her campaign team and supporters refuse to acknowledge that they are not the best and brightest at campaigning with all their experience...they have to come up with the kind of crap that we've been seeing and will continue to see until March 4th.

Thanks B-Serious. I just got back from The Root where I was trying to defend Lacewell. As a black female, I cannot relate with Hillary's white female privelege.

Her tactics during this campaign has been nothing less than ugly.

As I sit here commenting, I am watching Sean Hannity blast Michelle Obama's statement and college thesis and the Obama's church for being too radical and black. He is saying that the "American people don't know anything about this guy and that's serious". He has Newt Gingrich on. He said that it needs to be brought up!! What non-sense.

Also, ndn you (well actully everyone who posted here) just helped me deal a situation that recently evolved at work over the last couple of days. It had been eating me up inside and part of me wanted to "go there" but I am going to continue and pray on it. I pray that I can exercise an ounce of the grace, temperment and humility that brother Barack has shown.

She's a trip. Is she showing their hand? If so, I guess we're going to have a debate about about same-sex marriage tonight?

I really don't want to sound racist, but this is the reason why black men need a black wives. He does not need to explain "perceived slights, she already knows and will fight for him. This man looks like he has lost about 5lbs, which is way too much for him. He probably has an ulcer and is up to 2 packs a day.. He continually has to swallow shit.. He can't even attempt to raise his voice or furrow his brows. The country will truly benefit from his presidency, because he is no punk. He is strong beyond compare. I only wish that I could get some of that temperment. Please keep praying for him. Pray for his increased wisdom, courage and strength.

There were times when I felt ambivalent about his candidacy, but now I feel a calm peace because I recognize that feeling of being underestimated in the workplace and having to prove to people my competency. Eventually they fall in line and all of a sudden I'm the expert.

Thanks for the words b-serious. What's so sad about HRC's efforts is that she's so arrogant about it as if she is sure she is going to strike a chord with voters and change the momentum of the race. I hope America proves her wrong and rejects her negative politics.

First, I agree with b-serious' analysis word for word.

But I want to say something about Barack Obama.

He is arrogant. He has to be, otherwise he wouldn't be in the position he's in. A Black man doesn't get this close to the Democratic nomination if he didn't have a huge ego. So far, he has been able to also be charming and that's why his arrogance doesn't come across as overbearing. But no president is free from arrogance. Nor his Hillary Clinton.

He can't just rise above her attacks in this debate. He has to go after her and he can't hold back because she's a woman. He can't go after her unfairly, of course, but if he's to show the nation that he's the one to lead it, he can't appear soft when attacked no matter his attacker.

I think he will handle his business tonight just fine. His campaign just told the talking heads that he would be aggressive tonight.

I expect him to pick apart her "35 years of experience" mantra and make us see what a crock of ish that is. If he can successfully do that, she's burnt toast, because she has nothing else to fall back on.

I only wish that they weren't seated side-by-side tonight. I want them to stand behind podiums with more than several arm lengths between them.

When 1 in 3 White women come under criminal justice supervision; or 50% of White women start dropping out of high school; or the unemployment rate of White women rises to 14%; or when the rolls of White women in the Senate drops to one ever few decades; or when the leading cause of death among White women are under 30 becomes; then I might accept the argument that White women have it harder than Black men.

Excellent B-Serious, you hit every thought that has been in my head. I didn't hear Olberman call Hillary on her antics but Tim Russert from Meet the Press did this morning on The Today Show. Consistency. Who is the real Hillary? She's using the victim mentality. She's also resorted to some old school playground tactics to tease and mock her opponent to embarassment or submission. Its going to backfire like everything else. I said it before and I'll say it again, her little shame on you finger pointing brought back images of the massa's wife chastising the house negro for doing something wrong. How dare he step out of his place. I can't wait to see which Hillary shows up tonight at the debate.
