Jack and Jill Politics: Spinning The Snub

I think Jay Smooth had the best response on this issue.

You can't be surprised by this! It furthers two predictable and consistent media narratives: Obama, the angry, petulent Black man, and Hillary Clinton, the mistreated, agrieved White woman. You could have timed this shit! I knew when she shed those crocodile tears in NH, the media would yet again aid her in playing the victim and she would pull an upset win. With Obama gaining momentum, do you honestly think that were't going to do everything in their power to yet again protray her as a victim. It doesn't matter that she's been treating him like shit on the Senate floor and at debates since he announced his candidacy. All that matters is the Black man didn't bow to the White woman.

You know, oddly enough, I don't blame or fault Obama for his actions (assuming, of course, it went down the way it's been reported).

However, as long as stuff like this keeps up, the Republicans are going to start looking more and more like the party of civility...

"but instead they've fallen ass-backwards into this story, which ultimately places Hillary in the only role in which she gets positive press: as a victim." That is a priceless analysis.

And this tells a different story -

"The relationship began to change, according to several Democrats who are friendly to both senators, when Mr. Obama began musing aloud about a presidential bid. The day he opened his exploratory committee, several Senate observers said, he extended his hand and said hello on the Senate floor. She breezed by him, offering a cool stare."

Hillary's answer to whether or not she felt snubbed by Obama was "I reached out my hand and unity and friendship". What a crock of shit. It's the same old weasely Clinton response. She can't say that he refused her hand because it's not true but she can imply it. I find her repugnant. Geffen was right it seems - they lie with such ease.

I will never vote for Hillary Clinton, period. If the Repubs nominate McCain, and if McCain doesn't have a right wing lunatic running mate, I'll happily vote for McCain.

I disagree with McCain on many things, especially on abortion, but sometimes you have to go with your feelings, and I like the guy. Especially compared to the Clintons.
  • babyming · 1 year ago
I forgot to add, I will NOT vote for any of the OTHER Repubs who are currently running.

I voted for Clinton in 1992 and 1996, and I'll never do that again.

Actually, it seems like Obama and McCain are the only two candidates who are liked by many people outside their parties.

    What a liar!!!

Hillary is not even looking in the direction of Barack Obama. She is giving the eye contact & the extended hand to Ted Kennedy!

    That lying....

And she is milking it for all it's worth!

I just saw her with her fake smile lying through her teeth that she extended a hand to Obama. But she wants to play victim here. I'm surprised she didn't mist up at the humiliation she had to endure...

    She makes me sick.

They show Obama already in a turning position as Hillary Clinton comes forward.

Secondly, they show Kennedy stretching his hand out to Clinton.

Poor Hillary. This is an attempt to garner more sympathy for the supposed future commander-in-chief. Will everything be about hurt feelings or being slighted as a woman if she is the president. I have a feeling it will. This is so high school, it is a shame.

I like the Obama is staying above this and I pray folks use the good sense God gave them to see through her crap.

I'm a black woman and I don't go for this crap. Get some *&)*^* backbone.

By the way, I am not waiting in line at the polls to vote for her on any given day.

BTW: new Obama site. It's like youtube but called YouBama. Check out the Kamala Harris video from San Franciso. That's a woman with a spine.
