Rikyrah, you are so right. She looked really ridiculous. Just cringe-worthy. She was firmly in Bob Johnson Stepin Fetchit mode.
To think that I actually respected these folks at one time? They are just embarrassing. I've never seen so much tap-dancing in my life!
Love your blog and will sign up soon, but I'm just so stunned by her display until I just couldn't leave without comment.
Take a look at this picture. I dare you not to crack up. This Young No-Nonsense-Sista-In-The-Making should be one of FN's Field Negro of the Day.
You mean that---go to hell look!
ahahahahahaha
In 2008 just as in 1808, there are plenty of House Negroes happy to sell out their people sweating in the field for thirty pieces of silver, joining in the Faustian bargain just as the Clintons have and heading straight to Hell just as the Clintons are.
There's been talk in South Carolina about how a Clinton staffer even got busted trying to hack one of the voting machines they use there. The KKKlintons have already done enough race-baiting and disenfranchising to make American democracy into a sham for us and for the world. If they even consider trying to pull the same crap in South Carolina, and especially if they pull any bullshit trying to interfere with Blacks going to polling places, then the country's gonna be reduced to ashes afterward, cuz it would just be the most potent indication that slavery, in fact, never disappeared after 1865, it only changed form.
BTW, I like people's suggestions about getting camcorders ready and using them to videotape and embarrass the Clintons, their campaign staffers and anyone else on the KKKlinton plantation.
The Clintons are apparently sending people door-to-door, and of course there are those asinine public appearances where they try to sweet-talk African-Americans into being nice, obedient Field Negroes who don't rock the Clinton plantation too much.
People have been asking questions that have rattled the Clintons and their staffers, and if we get their flustered responses on tape, we have grist to humiliate them and do them some nasty damage.
I'm not sure if I should post this because it might give non Blacks an excuse to say degrading things about our Race. I should be careful. But....Mrs. Tubbs looked like a certain type of Black sistah from a certain time in history in a certain geographic location. And she looked like she enjoys being faithful to her Mrs. Hillary. That's as nice as I can put it. I trust you all know what I'm talking about.
If people want to buckdance and shoe-shine for the Clintons, let them go right ahead. The more people on that ship, the faster it sinks.
Having seen this bit again, I definitely believe that she came across as a bafoon with the laughing, moving of the head, and responses to Tucker's legitimate questions such as why is Hillary repeatedly interjecting race into this campaign. I think Stephanie responded, "Oh get a life Tucker."
I am suprised to say that Tucker did look more reasonable than did Stephanie and was looking at her and thinking this woman is crazy.
I think the bigger issue is the apparent generational divide that exist amongst blacks about the direction of this country and the role that we play in that direction. Stephanie, Rangel and Andrew Young, amongst others, act as though and probably do have a huge financial stake in a Billary victory. That said, they have to do all the shucking and jiving they have to do in order to get and keep the few crumbs they believe might be coming their way.
The next CBC Monitor Report Card will be published in time for the State of the Union Address. Look for it at Black Agenda Report, complete with scathing commentary.
Here's a hint: no Congressional Black Caucus person scored above 80% this session. NO ONE! NOT EVEN THE USUAL GOOD PERFORMERS - HONOR SOCIETY Members!
Champagne Charlie Rangel led this downward slide, and all of the Handkerchief Head Negroes who got their cheering for the Borg Queen drowned out by Obama supporters, have all but flunked the grading on the Report Card this session.
We evaluated them on two funding bills for the war, ENDA, the Hate Crimes Study Bill (think Cointelpro shyt), Katrina Recovery Bills, etc. And many of the CBC didn't represent their constituents' best interests, and if you're alert, let them know that there's gonna be some 'splainin' required about how they had the time to be a Handkerchief Head for Hillary, but be DERELECT in their jobs as lawmakers???
As a Native American who is voluntering in South Carolina and who has already donated funds to Obama...I just don't get that obligation mentality.
I have been voting for years (I'm 58). I happen to be one of those who would love to have a leader of my people such as Sen. Obama is for the black community. Yes, I am going to be in South Carolina and I will also go where ever else Sen. Obama needs me if my funds can get me there.
Anon, call Stephanie Tubbs-Jones what she is: MAMMY.
She could give Hattie McDaniel a run for her money playing Mammy so well - "Lawd a mercy, Miss Hillary, I's sho gon make sure that dere Obama don't gets no nomination away from yuhs.." (((rolls eyes)))
And to make a wingnut like Tucker Carlson look competent is the height of treachery, especially when a Black Caucus member does it.
Then again, these were the same House Negroes who sold their caucus down the river and crawled into bed with Fox News for the first attempt at a Presidential Debate, until Color of Change and James Rucker got in that ass.
You can't make this stuff up...
