    Andrea Mitchell interviewed Howard Wolfson and asked about Joe Andrew jumping ship and this dude actually said...."well...I don't think he's actually from Indiana."

    From Blacks4Barack...THE BLACK VOTE IS THE KEY THIS TUESDAY !!!The media thinks that blacks are absolutely stupid. They've been watching the powerful solidarity in the black community during this campaign and they're hoping we're stupid enough to lose focus and become divided over the media created Rev. Wright situation. Keep in mind....in Pa. 92% of all black voters voted for Obama. That's powerful ! Only one problem....not enough registered black voters actually voted !!!! This Tuesday...May 6th....EVERY Black voter MUST VOTE in N. Carolina and Indiana !!!!!     This is the first time I've heard Wolfson nervous. They are terrified the DNC will put a stop to this. If the Clinton's want to continue the process, then the DNC should do the exact opposite!

    Absolutely AMAZING letter!!!


    You know. . . this movement is something special. You don't see things like this in politics.



    People are really thinking. They're thinking for themselves . . . shedding old labels . . . and really challenging themselves and each other to invision the type of America they want to live in.



    It's beautiful. It truly is. And yes, it's little things like this that give me HOPE that everything is gonna be alright.



    I know. That sounds corny, but I truly believe we're gonna witness a defining moment in American history.

    His action is the kind of leadership I myself want to see from the Democratic Party. Bravo, Mr. Andrew. May the rest of your party leadership step up to the standard of integrity and honesty you have just set.

    Great! I was reading that the superdelegate race is over and that Obama won it.It is only whispers for now. If its true then Clinton is done. She can come back over to New York so we can kick her out!She is losing superdelegates for God sake's. She will be in the negatives by June.

    Ok, I have a SERIOUS problem with this.



    Doesn't this strike anyone else as being kind of odd?



    My point is this:



    Besides the obvious conflict of interest posed by a former Clinton staffer hosting a Clinton town hall event . . .



    Aren't there any "EQUAL TIME" legal issues with this town hall event?



    Seriously.



    I mean, we're basically talking about a 1 hour pro-Hillary event on national broadcast television.



    It's not like this is an interview. It's a town hall meeting where she'll likely get to control the direction of the conversation and, quite possibly, the questions themselves.



    Why is ABC giving her a 1 hour block of free air time?



    Maybe I'm mistaken, but this raises some serious concerns for me.



    They'd have to do the same for Obama and McCain.

    If any licensee shall permit any person who is a legally qualified candidate for any public office to use a broadcasting station, he shall afford equal opportunities to all other such candidates for that office in the use of such broadcasting station: Provided, That such licensee shall have no power of censorship over the material broadcast under the provisions of this section. No obligation is imposed under this subsection upon any licensee to allow the use of its station by any such candidate. Appearance by a legally qualified candidate on any—



    (1) bona fide newscast,

    (2) bona fide news interview,

    (3) bona fide news documentary (if the appearance of the candidate is incidental to the presentation of the subject or subjects covered by the news documentary), or

    (4) on-the-spot coverage of bona fide news events (including but not limited to political conventions and activities incidental thereto),



    shall not be deemed to be use of a broadcasting station within the meaning of this subsection. Nothing in the foregoing sentence shall be construed as relieving broadcasters, in connection with the presentation of newscasts, news interviews, news documentaries, and on-the-spot coverage of news events, from the obligation imposed upon them under this chapter to operate in the public interest and to afford reasonable opportunity for the discussion of conflicting views on issues of public importance.

    Equal time is unlikely to be an issue, because Steph has a regular Sunday news program. It is not like ABC is interrupting regular programming. That same Sunday, Obama will be on Meet the Press, hosted by McCain's shoe-shine boy and GE wage-slave, Tim Russert. Anyone care to guess how many Rev. Wright questions Russert will squeeze into one hour?

    Yeah, but Obama's appearance on Meet the Press is an interview. Interviews happen all the time. Plus, I don't think "interviews" fall under the Equal Time doctrine.



    Hillary's appearance is not an interview, it's a town hall meeting. It's basically an hour long press conference where she'll get to showcase her entire stump speech.



    That report said Steph was gonna "host" the town hall. Is he asking her questions or is he just an MC?



    Either way, it smells fishy. It looks like a shameless attempt to get around the Equal Time issue.



    Don't forget, this is a national broadcast, not cable news. This isn't MSNBC, FoxNews or CNN. It's ABC. A national broadcast is the type of stuff that gets reserved for the President.



    It would be like having CBS carry Obama's race speech live on tv. That didn't happen. It got carried on cable news (different standards) but not broadcast television.



    If Hillary wants a town hall, she should find a cable station like she did the last time. Pay the Lifetime Network for an hour's worth of air time and handle her business, but leave broadcast tv out of it.



    And I don't like the timing. Hillary's broke. She probably spent that 10 million she raised on tv ads in NC and IN. It looks like her old pal at ABC is throwing her a lifeline.

    I'm with you on that one. Obama better be prepared for that type of question.



    But remember, just about every other member of the CBC has ties to the Million Man March --- including most of those black Clinton apologists Hillary loves so much.



    Russert might bring it up. But Hillary (if she's smart) won't touch that issue with a 10-foot pole.

    It would be great if Barack could hold a major concert for free in IN while her town hall meeting is airing. Since The Boss...Bruce Springsteen endorsed, he would be great.


    Of course people would just record it, but they may forget to watch it after a free concert.

    i am a little worried about the conciliatory, ass licking tone i am getting from obama. i understand the whole angry black guy thing but...i think it is time to do some scolding and reject the broken record line of questioning. here are some rhetorical retorts for timmeh..."i don't know timmeh...
    1. where is your flag pin dufus?

    2. what is your definition of patriotism?

    3. what do you think about rev wright? is he on the clinton payroll? do you think he is crazy?

    4. do you think he would make a good v.p.? he did offer himself.

    5. do you consider yourself a "regular guy"?

    ....etc...i think it would deflate the bullshit balloon to make fun of it and treat it as the farce it is.

    I needs to be proactive and assert himself. The media has gotten away with too much nonsensical distractions.



    If Obama does not then I am done until the general with discussing this because its getting old and frustrating. I understand his position but I think that the media will chill if Obama asserts himself in a affirmative and respectful fashion.

    The Race is essentially over.
    The supers are choosing Obama and behind the scenes everybody knows this. The charade that is being played out by the Clintons and the MSM is merely psycho drama in an effort to convince the supers to change their minds.

    What fools and yes we must push him over the top soon.

    We will stand in solidarity with all Obama supporters to deny the craven self interest of the media and the Clintons.

    I guarantee as a white supporter, the collapse of the dem party will be deep and probably fatal.

    This will be a test of mettle. This is the equivalent of a slave revolt. And I, for one, think that we will get at least 40% of the black electorate to vote against Ms. Clinton. That will sink her campaign.
