Jack and Jill Politics: The Honorable War Hero McCain Doesn’t Support A New GI Bill

  • Anonymous · 1 year ago
A simple web search shows that this is the first of the promised Democrat attacks on McCain.

Here is a direct quote from McCain regarding the new GI Bill (for those of you who care to know all the facts and not just spin):

"I have not had the chance to examine it carefully," he said. "It seems to me that it is a good thing to do. But I haven't examined it with the care that it needs. But we obviously need to do something along those lines."

    Are you kidding!!?

    He hasn't had the time?

This bill was introduced in JANUARY 2007. He's been the unopposed nominee for weeks now.

What is he doing? He's got very few attacks from Democrats. He's got no Republican challengers.

That is the weakest comeback. You mean to tell me that neither he nor his campaign nor his senate office has found time in the last FIFTEEN MONTHS

    TO READ THE BILL.

    try again homes

You can criticize him for having a weak comeback but do not inaccurately state he doesn't support the bill.

I agree, he should take a serious look at the bill.

    Play fair.

Why are you dictating HOW Jack can criticize McCain? Maybe you should have the whole conversation with yourself.

McCain is a warmonger. His YouTube channel design WAS dull, gunmetal grey with military imagery. It had red accents...I guess that represented blood. He's changed it recently to a dull, drab blue. He ok'd those colours because they are representative of his frame of mind.

He talks constantly about being a prisoner of war. He talks about matters related to combat. It is believed his hot temper is really Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He's elderly, forgetful and angry. He thinks, talks, walks war. McCain is all-war-all-the-time. Mcain is terrified of losing the election. McCain gives ear to another warmonger: Joe Lieberman. McCain is hiding his medical records. McCain represents the past..and death. If you want to die, vote for McCain.

John McCain has a son who just returned from Iraq and another son in the military (I think Navy). John McCain's wife is worth approx. $100 million dollars and although I respect and admire his service and his children's service to our country, they will never have to suffer from the economic issues most of our service men and women do.

My point is with all that wealth, how in touch is John McCain with all of our veterans issues these days.

I don't know about you all, but, with the cost of gasoline, my budget looks alot different these days because that cost affects alot of other necessities!!!

Now picture the military personnel who do not earn big bucks and have to not only worry about the cost of living but their medical costs and just plain serving at the mercy of this president whom McCain fully supports!!!!!

It just boggles my mind. John McCain would rather protect the tax cuts for the wealthy instead of supporting this new GI Bill???

    Truthseeker,

Your comments are all pure projection and speculation, but go ahead and believe what you will.

The fact still remains that McCain does not oppose the bill. He has taken no position as yet. Why? Who knows.

    Right,

You see it right before your eyes but you don't believe it. Do you think people didn't see what Bush jr. was going to be like?

McCain has a bad attitude and something to prove...a dangerous combination.

Just because he's not a cosponsor of the bill, doesn't mean he doesn't or ultimately won't support it.

The bill shouldn't need McCain's sponsorship to pass, anyway.

This Ad isn’t entirely true. As a veteran and recipient of the GI Bill the amount of funds received by veterans is determined by the number of courses taken during a given semester and whether the student elects to go full time, or part time. If the veteran wishes to go fulltime, then he/she will receive funds on a monthly base until said person has graduated. Everyone knows that the cost of college differs depending on the school chosen and this cost affects all students in every state.

So to say that veterans are not recieving enough money to attend college is disengenuous. I agree however that McCain should support the bill...and probably will once this ad gets some traction.
