Clinton may take delegate fight to convention By BRENDAN FARRINGTON, Associated Press Writer
    50 minutes ago

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Hillary Rodham Clinton says she is willing to take her fight to seat Florida and Michigan delegates to the convention if the two states want to go that far. In an interview with The Associated Press, Clinton was asked whether she would support the states if they continue the fight.

Good for her. Let her have her fun.

In 2000, Hillary vowed to fight to get rid of the Electoral College.

    She never lifted a finger.

She's not even a real person anymore :

"This work to extend the franchise to all of our citizens is a core mission of the modern Democratic party," she said. "From signing the Voting Rights Act and fighting racial discrimination at the ballot box to lowering the voting age so those old enough to fight and die in war would have the right to choose their commander in chief, to fighting for multi-lingual ballots so you can make your voice heard no matter what language you speak."

Those people, she said "refused to accept their assigned place as second-class citizens. Men and women who saw America not as it was, but as it could and should be, and committed themselves to extending the frontiers of our democracy. The abolitionists and all who fought to end slavery and ensure freedom came with the full right of citizenship. The tenacious women and a few brave men who gathered at the Seneca Falls convention back in 1848 to demand the right to vote."

    ---

Yep Fl/MI breaking the rules and not getting seated in the way that makes you the nominee is exactly the same thing as women and blacks having to fight for the right to vote.

She's holding out for an "act of God", which the media keeps talking about only as it applies to Obama, mind you.

Is this the "act of God" she's waiting for?

I believe that might be the "act of God" she's waiting for.

It seems she stoked fires to get that very result.

The ticket will be Obama/Clinton in the end. That is what she's doing. She knows she can't win so she's trying to make his win seem not fair. I guess in the end Obama really will have to appease a monster.

    Craig,

Listening to the media repeat this day after day, a few days ago I was thinking "what if" this is what Hillary is holding out for! Then I thought---no way! The thought made me cringe & even more so now that this is in the Georgia paper! OMG!

    -------------

The only way she would be on the ticket is if she FORCED her way on the ticket.

And if she can force her way on the ticket she validates the notion that Obama is weak and can't win without her.

If he's that weak that he absolutely needs her, then he shouldn't be the nominee, because that's a tacit admission that he's so weak and damaged that he needs her "strength" in order to win.

And if he needs her "strength" in order to win, then she should be the nominee, not him.

The only way I'd want Hillary on the ticket is if Barack truly believed that she would be an asset. Right now, the only people in the entire United States that believes that Clinton would be an asset are the GOP, the Clinton Campaign and the Mom Jeans Posse.

Don't buy her BS...she's just trying to intimidate the DNC so that she gets her way at the rules committee meeting!

If she's counting on an act of God, you'd better believe her campign is not simply waiting for one to come along.
  • TruthSeeker · 1 year ago
I can't see how she could pass the vetting for VP. She is secretive and doesn't like to release documents. I highly doubt she'd submit to that kind of vetting from the Obama camp, let alone pass it. I think spouses have to submit to vetting also, and we know Bill's been up to no good.

There's just too much baggage here....If I was Obama, I wouldn't want Bill anywhere near my two young daughters or wife. The Clinton's would have a shadow government going on..they could frame Obama...naw, I can't see it happening.
  • Ms.Martin · 1 year ago
Hillary isn't vying for VP, she's taking her fight to the convention. She wants to be the president.

If she can't have a chance at it, she's not going to let Barack have a chance at it either.

He needs to put her down.

    ms. martin,

    I'm with you...

This woman wants to be President, not second/VP.

Remember when she tried to offer Obama VP.

Obama asked how is the one in second place going to ask to person in first to be VP. Naw....she wants the #1 spot.

She scares the shit out of me. So not good for my health.

    Craig,

That article you posted from HuffPo says it all. I pray every night for his family. I pray for myself to...to be able to tolerate her again today.
  • B-Serious · 1 year ago
Craig said, "He needs to put her down."

Yes. I've been saying that for a while now.

End it now. End it YESTERDAY.

For some reason, people seem scared to call Hillary out for the jerk she is.

All those super delegates need to come out right NOW.

There is absolutely no reason for this race to go one second further. The only reason provided is Hillary's bruised ego and the assumption that she's doing this for historical purposes.

Fine. . . bring out all the super delegates save 10-15. Let her finish the race. But make it clear that under no circumstances is she going to be the nominee.

There is NO reason why the supers can't come out right NOW.
  • B-Serious · 1 year ago
And screw this, "anything can happen," garbage we keep hearing from the Clinton camp.

That tells me they're up to something.

They are literally admitting that their only reason for staying in the race is the hope that something very bad happens to Obama. Why are the super delegates even tolerating this nonsense.

I saw someone point out that we're gonna have about 2 weeks before the next contest. That's 2 weeks of down time for the media. . . 2 weeks to scrutinize every syllable that comes out of Obama's mouth in the hopes for that magical gaffe. . .2 weeks for someone to try and start some trouble. . . 2 weeks to manufacture a controversy.

    End it now.

Obama's bent over backwards to praise Hillary over the past two weeks. Hillary has done nothing to return the favor.

    End this now.

If this isn't over by June 5, it's over for the Democrats.

I just saw a portion of Clinton's speech. She did tell FL voters to vote for McCain if the DNC doesn't count their votes.
  • B-Serious · 1 year ago
The Democratic Party, the media, the super delegates and (yes) the Obama campaign are complicit in a lot of this.

The only reason Hillary does what she does or says half the things she says is because people ALLOW her to do it.

The media doesn't have to dignify her ever-changing goal posts, but they do.

Obama doesn't have to treat her with kid gloves, but he does.

The supers don't have to wait to endorse, but they are.

Every time I hear, "this process is good for the Democratic party" . . . or "Hillary's leading in the popular vote" . . . or "this is a close race". . . or "Obama needs to be careful with how he treats her" . . . or "unity ticket". . . or any of a million half-baked pipe dreams brainstorm how she could still win . . .

These are just a few of the Clinton talking points that go unchallenged everyday. So she keeps on saying them. And each day they get a little crazier and a little crazier until you have people start saying things like, "the math doesn't matter at this point," . . . or "Hillary has earned a v.p. spot on the ticket."

Obama just spent 3 weeks "giving Hillary space" and look at what she does. . . Now she's saying she's gonna take this to the convention.

I allowed myself to be in denial. But no more.

    She's toxic.

Barack, show me your tough diplomacy.

Oh My God! This b%t%h might be up to something! The media keeps repeating from the Clinton camp, she's staying in just in case "something happens with Obama"!

And remember the secret service relaxed security in Dallas Texas at an Obama Rally & let that guy from E-Bay practically get in Obama's face in Philly!

Where are the Superdelegates to end this now?
  • Val · 1 year ago
Craig - I agree with you. She needs to be shut down. Everyone/media/DNC is talking about giving her space to leave when she wants to. Shoot I thought "as long as she did nothing negative, let her finish the race" but she has lost all sense of reality and she needs to be shut down. Two days ago she cited Karl Rove as proof that she is the better candidate to go up against McCain and she believes it. She is gone over the deep end and is doing nothing to keep her supporters in check. They are planning all sorts of things to deliberately derail the democratic campaign.

I am going to start sending letters to the DNC again and and ask that they do something now. She has lost all sense of reality.
  • heartsandflowers · 1 year ago
    Guys -

We're so close the the nomination. Obama is only 62 delegates away. We can just bombard the DNC, the super delegates and the corporate media for the next few days to END THIS NOW! This is last obstacle. He needs the foot soldiers to flank him and fight. It does make me want to hurl that he's soooo damn nice to her! What discipline! You know Michelle wants to kick her butt. Anyway I want this wrapped up before the next primaries.
  • Ronnie B · 1 year ago
I suppose if there were enough super delegates who committed to Obama, then the DNC could step in and say "it's over Hillary, go away". But I think that they're seeing the end of a political era, and are going to let her stay in so that they can both go out with some "dignity". You know; the whole "Bill and Hillary Clinton have been instrumental in the Democratic Party structure for over 20 years", thing.

Now the media are a different story. They have the right and the obligation to declare this contest over. But they're going to continue egging Clinton on, because it's still good drama. Again, there are some media people who see the writing on the wall (Wolf Blitzer, Charlie Gibson, [Insert Name of Pretty White Woman]) and that the Obama era will also usher in the Deval Patrick era; the Harold Ford, Jr. era; the Cory Booker era. In short, audience demands will change. And when that happens, media coverage will change. Out with the blue eyes and the botox and in with the multiple shades of brown.
