Jack and Jill Politics: Toni Morrison Says What I’ve Been Saying For Years

  • TruthSeeker · 1 year ago
Right. Her explanation was pretty weak. You see, there's the small matter that Bill Clinton was actually guilty! The idea of "lynching" and victimization of black men is based on the their innocence, not so with Bill.

What, Toni doesn't believe we understand metaphor? Anyway, Blackness is precious real estate that belongs to us(blacks) all. No one black person has the right to bestow blackness upon any person. She was over-exuberant in her description and it came back to haunt and embarrass primarily African Americans. Especially in light of the Clinton's role in the Rwanda Genocide and Haitian refugee crisis.

Bill's bestowed blackness is permanently revoked!

What are your thought on BO's VP choice? I think he ought to close the deal with a nod to Ed Rendell. Yes Ed Rendell who campaign so vigoursly for Clinton. Why? Rendell can 1. deliver PA 2. Placate the "working class whites" as described by HRC 3. Neutralize the jewish opposition and 4. campaigned agressively on a wide range of economic issues. Your thoughts.

Bill Clinton has always used that phrase to get over on Black folks for a long time. The policies he enacted were not meant to assist, promote, or encourage Black folks toward achievements, if some of us just happened to get some form of benefit from his policies, then he could claim he was doing it to help us. It was a win-win for him for so long they just assumed wrongly that we would always be there, no matter what. Hillary is still depending on us to come back to the Democratic Party if by some hook or crook deception she is able to steal the nomination, because after all in their thinking where else do we have to go. Yes, Bill played that part for so long and so many Black folks fell for it, I am glad to see that the covers have been lifted, the curtain has rose to expose this man for what he has been all along - an opportunist. Now tell that to those shuck and jive, handkerchief head, those go along to get along negroes to stand up!

    Ed Rendell: Helllllllllllllll No!

    Blacks4Barack Launches:

    The HILLARY

    "STEP DOWN

    WITH GRACE"

    CAMPAIGN

Following N. Carolina and Indiana, it has become obvious that there is absolutely no way Hillary Clinton can win the Democratic nomination. With 6 primaries remaining it is impossible for her to catch Obama in the delegate count, number of states won or even the popular vote, so the bottom line is she must face the fact that OBAMA HAS WON ! Hillary's staying in the race is extremely harmful to the Democratic Party.....therefore....

    Contact the DNC to let

    Howard Dean know that we

    feel that Hillary should step

    down in a respectful manner

since she is obvously not going

to win the nomination (without cheating....which will not be tolerated)

This would be the right gesture for her political future as well as the right gesture for the Democratic Party. Just Call The DNC at

    (202)863-8000

    .....respectfully request

the DNC to ask Hillary to step-down NOW ! Then it will be time to concentrate

on The Re-Birth Of America !

To Anonymous. Ed Rendell is jewish. He will neutralize any criticism. You can't call him anti semite.
  • abe7chgo · 1 year ago
To squarepeg: I would add the VP spot is ceremonial with little significance and it would "heal" the HRC wing.

What better messenger than Rendell to advocate for BO to those whites who Rendell claims may not vote for BO because he's black. Make Rendell sell it. I don't want to come this far and loose to McCain.
  • Anonymous · 1 year ago
don't be so sure rendell will be able to neutralize any critism on those grounds. john kerry is war hero and they made him look like a coward...

and that video just goes to point out the double standard we have in this country. obama is half-white but so many people said his preacher's words are evidence of his dislike of white people. rendell praises farrakhan to the hilt and yet no requires hillary to distance herself from him.

    what a country.

So it took 16 years to clarify that comment?
  • NMP · 1 year ago
No, that's not all that she said in the essay. She expressly attributed "black" qualities to him and declared that he was the closest thing to an actual Black president we would see in our lifetime. She can backtrack all she wants. She said it, and over these many years this is the first time she attempts to clarify it. Please!

Cindy McCain says she'll never release her tax returns

WASHINGTON - Cindy McCain says she will never make her tax returns public even if her husband wins the White House and she becomes the first lady.

"You know, my husband and I have been married 28 years and we have filed separate tax returns for 28 years. This is a privacy issue. My husband is the candidate," Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting John McCain, said in an interview aired on NBC's "Today" on Thursday.

Asked if she would release her tax returns if she was first lady, Cindy McCain said: "No."

-Gee, I wonder if the MSM will take Mrs. McCain to task for her remarks?

    Of course not.

But if Michelle Obama had said it, you know it would be, "What Are The Obamas Trying To Hide?"

    d.

I second that emotion. As I said, Hillary's about to choke the life out of her own campaign and future in the DNC...

but the question is...will the DNC have a backbone and stand up for what's right?

    truthseeker,

    Obamamania-

"I wasn't campaigning, I was just saying hello"

    "No, I'm just walking..."

"No, I haven't talked with her about being my VP, that is premature"

    The questions these people ask...

I really love the part about the elementary school students. My son is only 6 years old and one day, he said..."mom is that Orack obama" (he pronounces it that way).

I was so shocked that he knew, because I hadn't talked to him about the election at that point, but he must've been paying attention to the news (along with me). I assumed he was too young to take it in. However, afterwards I talked to him about it and now he sings Barack praises!

It's a really good feeling that Barack is even moving children. Isn't that amazing?

I told my son that he has similarities to Barack Obama and could grow up and be President just like him.

    My son smiled.

Toni Morrison is full of shit and so is Maya Angelou.

I've always resented that appellation on Clinton and he definitely use it to his political advantage with us supporting him unconditionally.

squarepeg...I completely agree with you comments.
  • PTCruiser · 1 year ago
Toni Morrison is lying. That is, she knows that her intention at the time she described Bill Clinton as "the first black president" is different from what she is now declaring as her meaning now. I resented Ms. Morrison's description at the time and nothing has happened in the interval to change my mind. I come from black men who got up everyday to take care of their families.

Bill Clinton's bizarre sexual escapades while in the White House could only be likened to the behavior of black men by people who have axes to grind, whether justified or not, against black men. Only a fool could think that he could carry on a sexual dalliance with a 20 year old intern in the Oval Office and not be discovered. I don't think Bill should have been impeached even if he did lie but I knew he was lying the moment the story came out. And so did Hillary.
  • Progressive for A Better Ameri · 1 year ago
Please. It only took Morrison more than a decade to clarify so I'm not buying, and how to explain his opening up an office in Harlem, thus astronomically driving up real property costs in the area? How to explain his admitting that he called up Chris Rock telling him, "I'm the first black president, you know?"

Yesteday I saw a video in which Andrew Young (a Clinton supporter) said that Bill Clinton had been with far more black women than Obama, so he too continues to foster the ludicrous notion of Billy Jeff's 'blackness.' In 2008 no less, despite WJC's continued racist remarks while stumping for his racist wife.

At the Black State of the Union or whatever Smiley's symposium is called, Dick Gregory totally schooled black folks on "tricking" Billy Jeff into believing he was the first black president. Check out the video on youtube.

I thoroughly enjoy the Jack and Jill Politics blog, but I have to tell you that I am one who reads intelligence estimates and economic studies. I also watch Bloomberg TV and have Oanda Money Exchange as one of the tabs on my browser. I like knowing a lot about as much as possible.
