Friday Open Thread
Also, nice to put a face with the voice for JJP. :-)
Apologies in advance if someone else besides Jack wrote these little blurbs, but whoever did it, is there any particular reason we learn that "Tempest focuses her blog on issues related to sexism and racism" but not that Pam Spaulding, who is featured at #1, runs a blog with an emphasis on issues of concern to the LGBT community?
Out and proud, folks. Keeping it real means keeping it out and proud!
I read you first, every morning. Love the Open Thread, lots of interaction and information. Keep it up. Turned my family onto you too. As my mother said, "they have black blogs like this out there?" YES.
and here is my evening wrap up.
peace
Angela
will one of you savvy types help me get rid of Michigander2 so I can be id'd as Angela?????????
Congrats ya'll, you've really been a great help in finding so many great writers and observers of what's going on in the world.
oh and I've been a fan of Jill from the writing and hearing her on News&Notes, but after seeing that picture, I'm caught up! super smart and super fine.
So, what difference does this make? I guess it's like the difference between being a member of the US Senate and having a pass to visit the US Senate, or being the owner of the store versus being a customer of the store. Yes, both are able to be in the store at times, and touch the merchandise, but in completely different capacities.
There are at least two black bloggers on the state blogs.
You're welcome to write one yourself, you know, a state blog? You might try it sometime?
But until there's a pure black state, let some of us white folks in on the program?
(so here I'm talking more Mississippi, where most of the Democrats are black).
To "be" on the floor, francis, means to sit with one delegation -- YOUR STATE's.
There's plenty to bitch about the selection process, and kos and jerome and everyone is bitching.
But they ain't all white, got it?
humbly,
